Brown Spots on Leaves

I just found a few brown spots on the leaf tips and sides. Is it heat stress or light stress? The light distance is 40cm and 195 ppfd. However, i went out yesterday and the ac was turnt off. By the time when i get back like 9pm, the temp was 32C, 82.6F. Please help me out.Thanks

Hey growmie, nothing to stress over, that’s early seedling damage, pretty normal stuff. Could be from the heat spike, but honestly seedlings are super sensitive anyway. Your light intensity is fine (195 PPFD at 40cm is chill). The 32°C spike didn’t help, but it’s not gonna kill her. Just keep temps stable now (24-26°C is perfect), let the medium dry a bit between watering, and watch new growth — that’s what matters. If new leaves come out clean and green, you’re golden. Those first leaves always look rough if they caught stress early. Ride it out — she’ll bounce back easy.

Looks like overwatering make sure not to water that plant again until soil gets really dry it might take 7 days or so for it to dry out Also with seedlings less is more light I’d be giving the seedlings less than 100 umol’s when there that small if you blast the plants with to much light when there really small it makes the plant start off with the 1st few internodes all smashed into each other and doesn’t give the plant any room to grow. It makes the plant take longer

Since you’re growing in coco and using CalMag + Canna A/B, the small brown tips are most likely a mild root zone reaction—either from early CalMag imbalance (common in fresh coco) or the brief 32 °C heat spike. Your EC is low (0.5), so it’s not excess nutrients. Let the coco dry a bit more between waterings and keep checking runoff pH and EC. You’re doing the right things—this is just minor early stress. She’ll grow out of it quickly.
