I have a shoot here that looks and grows as if 2 shoots have fused together. I've seen something similar with another plant before. Does anyone know about this, because I can't find anything on such mutations 😅. The problem is there isn't one, it's just a bit strange to look at.

Hi 🙋‍♂️ Seems to really be a polyploid! It's related to mutations in the genes, I'll send you a link that explains it well here 👊 Be happy, it's extremely rare & the result is supposed to be stronger than what you know 🤷🏼 I'll invite myself to a sample when it's ready 👊🖖🍀

Polyploids are incredibly rare and I thought I had it a few times too, but found out when it's only a branch or 2 it's more likely to be fasciation. It's nothing to worry about, sometimes makes a nice big bud and other times just a weird deformed one.

The headbud will probably be a polyploid then. Not optimal, but not bad either.

I hate the exact same thing with my Membrana that's now outdoors. You can check it out in week 3 if you want. I think it's cool that someone else has it too :) I had to remove the shoots at some point because they were too wild and too dense for me. But like you said, as long as there are no problems, let them grow.
