Should you harvest a cannabis plant if it’s still taking up water? Or should I wait until it quits drinking. Thanks!

So I harvest her when she's ripe, regardless of whether she's still taking up water or not. Because she continues to do that long after ripening. I harvest her when she has the most milky trichomes, but she's not quite at the very end yet. But you have to do that at the end. If she's already too dry when you harvest her, then the buds will also dry faster, and you need to keep that in mind.

It will continue drinking well past a harvest window for the flowers. I personally don't buy into 'drying while alive' by starving the plant of water the last few days. By then, I am not doing anything foolish to mess with my beautiful trichomes that have taken months to get. I also want my dry to go as long as possible for the best tasting flower possible. So it is counterproductive in a multitude of ways.
