Flip now or wait

Send flower now or wait another 5-10 days (target is 25g per plant)? Relevant setup is as follows : 2x HG 100w lamps dimmable, 80x80x180 tent, varieties are 2x Frosted Guava and 2x White Raspberry Truffle from OSS.

Hey 👋 Flip depends on the height you have. You need ~40 cm distance from light to top of your plant. Depending on your genetics you plant will gain height with factor 1,5-2,5. This means: if she’s 40 cm atm, she should easily be 1m high after stretch. Most tents are 1,80 high. -30cm buffer for lamp -40 cm for distance between lamp and top of your plants — she shouldn’t be higher than 40cm for flipping, otherwise you will possibly get a huge space problem. Hope this helps 👊🍀🖖

Your plants are looking healthy and well-developed, with solid canopies and strong branching across all pots. Based on the photo and your goal of reaching 25g per plant, I’d recommend waiting another 5–7 days before flipping to flower. The plants are thriving under your current conditions, and they’ve still got a little room to fill out both vertically and horizontally. Holding off just a few more days will allow the lower branches to catch up and give you time to do a final round of low-stress training or light defoliation, which can improve light penetration and increase overall bud production. Since your tent and lighting setup (two HG 100W lamps in an 80x80x180 cm tent) are suitable for a modest yield, allowing for a fuller canopy before the stretch could be the difference between hitting your target and falling a bit short. While you wait, it’s a good idea to clean up any lower growth that won’t receive light during flowering, gently open up dense spots with LST if needed, and gradually increase your light intensity to full power if it’s not already. You're on the right path, and with just a bit more veg time, you’ll be set up nicely to hit your yield goal.

I get 25 grams with much smaller plants than you, so I'm pretty sure that any more waiting would be irrational, also due to space limitations. Good luck!

I'll be the dissenting opinion here.... Unless you are steering hardcore with hormones specifically, you will have minimal detriment by stretching her into flower. Ever notice all these cultivators with months in veg building these 'perfect' frames, then they flip her and she goes brrrr and pops off. She is gonna stretch into flower anyway, just ride it with LST and stop losing a week to fit in with internet peers, that is my 2 cents. On a personal note, your lights are almost certainly the culprit for their stature as is. Riding a stretch into your perfect canopy requires you to be fluent in light management, because your dimmer and height will change daily based off experience.

Well your diary says you have 6 weeks of veg so far and 9 inches tall. She is a little small for that long in veg. I don't know if that's strain related or her environment and stress will stunt growth and harvest. Why only 25g.? My plants are 10-12 inches at week 4 when I switch they stretch to 24-28 inches. She will at least double in size under good growing conditions and shouldn't be a problem getting 25g. I use 140 total watts and can get between 160g-190g. Amount comes down to light, strain genetics and environment. Doesn't matter how many plants you have in the tent, total achievable grams from amount of light will be spread out between the plants. For example lets say you can get roughly 120g under 100 watt light. One plant grown alone will get you that 120g. Six plants grown under that same light will have around 20g per plant. So you have 4 plants under 200 watts. If properly grown and not overly stressed you should be able to get around 220-250g between the 4 plants, roughly 50-60g a plant. You can train through the whole stretch phase which last around 2 weeks if you want to LST. I defoliate before switch, you want good air circulation inside of plant so I would defoliate now, wait a few days then switch. Good luck

I would personally wait another week before flipping. Let the branches develop a bit more so you can train them apart a little in stretch before they bulk up. Airflow and humidity can get tricky to control with short, bushy plants and you'll get a little more flower off them.

By now you already should get 25G per plant… if you wait another 5-10 days maybe 30 g per plant
