Hi growers again sorry meant to ask what you folk think of planting in eazy plugs as opposed to small pot 3in x 3in. The tap root get exposed out the bottom at times so I wonder would it be be better to use pots. Thank you for the help

You can use plugs however you see fit, bossmang. Even in my hydro flow, a clone collar follows the plant all the way through...as does a plug if I use it.

Hello, I recommend germination in Jiffy peat or coco, it doesn't matter to raise the seedling in the incubator for 1 week and then move to pot 05, but personally, I practiced raising it in 05 and it works too. The photoperiod can allow 0.5, 3l, 5, 11l with the steps as the seedling grows and expands from the pot; we changed to 3l, 5, 11l. The final one needs a substrate suitable for growth, flowering, etc. Even cotton works for germination. In the end, both are good; the more developed the root system is, the better the plants will do.

Do you use a mini greenhouse? I really like using the Eazyplugs, I cut a 2x2 cell-sized piece from the big tray for that. It goes on top of clay pebbles that are already about 2 cm high in the mini greenhouse. When a root grows out of the plastic holder, it's not a problem because it doesn't grab onto anything at first. Once you see the root at the bottom, it's definitely time to put the plug in.
