Can the plant still be saved from bud rot? Can I generously cut away the affected areas and let the plant finish flowering, or will more mold come? Best regards

Also lieber einmal sauber weg damit, direkt bis ins gesunde Gewebe schneiden. Alles was matschig, grau oder seltsam riecht – raus.

I would generously cut off the affected buds, but you can definitely let them continue to bloom. It happened to me in my last grow too, where 2 buds got moldy. Even after removing them and reducing the humidity, they were the only ones left.

I lost my all fights to bud rot. Its already there, you wont magically cut it off. I do that way in same case : Cut all, take losses. Whipe and wash all grow area with soap and alcohol and restart. I would rethink my environment , maybe buy better exhaust or oscillating fans, maybe plug dehumidifier from mid flower and so on. I had bud rot in almost all my grows at beginning, good air circulation sorted a lot, indoors didn't had it for last 4-5 years ...

I would completely toss the infested upper bud, maybe even harvest the whole branch. But no one can guarantee if more will come or not. If the humidity is below 50%, the risk is definitely lower. If you let it grow further, keep a close eye on it regularly (leaves that are drying out differently than the other leaves in the bud) and harvest when a second branch starts. It's already looking quite far along anyway. About a week ago, I cut off a branch from one of my Hella Jellys that had an infected top bud. I paid attention to hygiene afterwards and disinfected with 99% alcohol. I also put a simple dehumidifier in the tent to keep my humidity below 50%. No further mold has developed since then.
