Too bad you reduced your potential harvest by removing so many leaves. ALL of the plants energy and ability to grow flowers comes from the leaves. Less leaves = less energy being made = less potential...............it is that simple. Spots are too perfect to be a deficiency, looks more like water droplets to me. Plant leaves with underlying yellowing looks like the beginning of burning from long term over feeding to me.
