I've been growing Super Lemon Haze for a while. I have some questions about watering. I'm using an 11-liter pot, and some of my plants are about to start flowering, but I don't know how many liters of water I should be watering. When I add 1 liter, the water overflows from pot.

hey 👋 The problem must be due to the composition of your medium and its compaction after watering. You should be able to pour in 2 liters, or even a little more, without any retention on the surface. It's too late to change your medium, so here are a few tips to improve the one you're using, which I assume is potting soil: First, if you see a kind of crust on the surface, scrape it off and remove it: it prevents water and air from reaching your roots. Next, use a fork to gently rake the top few inches of soil. Avoid pulling up any roots that come to the surface, but don't worry if you pull up a few small ones. To aerate your substrate, press on the sides of your pot (if it's made of geotextile, this is very easy, but even plastic will do); you should see your substrate rise and crack in several places. Then, to prevent this from happening again: water gently, not 2 liters at once, turning your substrate all over. Avoid tap water if you can, as it is likely to be hard and will clog your soil again. Also consider adjusting the nutrients; if you are using minerals, switch to organic. And don't hesitate to repeat the above steps 😉

i use 11L pot s for my plants, too. i now use a spring of 100ml to water them, it takes a minute or two, but this way they water gets absorbed very well everywhere. Wenn i put 1L or more in in one hit - i get overwatered clumby soil and part of the the water just runs trow. You can also spray some water on the soil for better absorbation before watering. 1L is could be a bit to much - but depends on your size and soil. Consider to feed them twice a day with half dose. Its better to give a bit less than a bit to much water.

if you are manually watering them, do it slow and maybe add in a wetting agent like Yucca to cut the water tension and allow it to flow through the pot. Water them when needed, fully saturate the pot and get a bit of runoff to prevent buildup. wait till the pot has dried back a bit and do it again and again till its time for harvest. Its not always on a schedule of every 2 days give this much water. Its when the plant needs it. Most people feed every time as well its why the runoff is needed. This is different if your using amendments vs liquid fertz. Don't really want to get a lot of runoff with amendments. This is different when growing in just peat or coir and perlite as the medium aka hydrophonicly, is so aerated you can water 4 times a day with an automatic system and its fine as the medium does not hold onto that much water and it flows freely never drowning the roots, a near perfect environment for them. I would not recommend something like this by hand, automation is key.
