When roots hang like these do they get any nutes?
Are they gonna touch water or die?
and can I do something or just let it be?
Also can this be the issue with my orange/brown situation?

if the roots have started to change color to yellow/brown, it's most likely the development of pathogenic microflora. Is light getting into the root system? Is the solution temperature too high? Your plants are telling you that something is wrong with the roots. How's your feeding? EC and pH?

...and you have burned leaf, maybe too much nutriens. Check

This roots dont die, but not take 100%nutriens like others in water. This is not a problem.
And if you have yellow color, to much water.
