you use to be able to write your own reply in your own questions but this option was removed. IDK why. it can sometimes help. However the questions part of the site never used to notify you if anyone did reply or tag you or do anything on it. It was like a black hole.
Best you can do is reask the question with the new information. Or send out a DM to that user.
