RH% not going down: anything wrong with my setup?

Anything wrong with my setup that would explain why RH is not going down? Dehume is in lung room. Room is around 8m2 (very small) and dehume should be able to handle with ease. Tent exhausts 24/7 at 60% (higher makes no dif) Connected tent exhaust to dehume = small improvement

If your tent is intaking from the same room that it's exhausting to, I think your dehumidifier will be working somewhat inefficiently. You might be better off to intake from the lung room and exhaust either outside or to a different room. If the dehumidifier is struggling to lower the RH of the lung room, you could partially seal the exhaust of the dehumidifier, using a cardboard box taped over the output and then duct it into your tent by connecting a 4" duct from the box to your tent. I do something similar with my portable AC. It takes a bit of balancing in order to maintain negative pressure in your tent so that the humidifier isn't blowing more air into the tent than your exhaust is pumping out but it could be a solution for stubborn humidity within the tent. Good luck! 🙂

Best to exhaust outside. If you doing to back into the same room its gonna be harder to control. If the lung rooms RH is also high. it wont really lower the tents to much. Eg 50% going in and 10% coming out is not that big of a difference. Would want it down to around 45% Could try a faster air exchange to move more air in hopes it moves more RH as well.

with dehum at max all time the plants transpire at max all time, too - just to compensate the room. so now you have to oponents in the set the hum game. and 60% in grow is ok when temp matches this for optimal VPD. no need to worry. set the dehum on a cylce a few times a day for a short time - just to dehum your room from the exhaust to prevent mold and all is fine

Hello. Here's my solution... Remove some fan leaves. I've run my grow room for years with just an exhaust fan. The plant breathes called - transpiration - and exhaust moisture from their pours. Take some big fan leaves off each plant to control the rh better. Don't take too many at one time. If you take 1/3 of the leaves off any plant it will send them into shock and they won't start to grow again till they heal. I suggest you take about 10 fan leaves off each plant and see if your rh goes down Good Luck.

I don't see a problem.. Try opening an air flap at the bottom, take some leaves off, circulate more air inside the tent, as long as the lung room is low RH then everything should be fine and it's only small. Try another hygrometer just to check accuracy.

Maybe if the tent is sealed, the dehumidifier cann't reduce the rh more. You can open a bit your tent window to see if it works. Your seeds are auto so you don;t have to worry about light leaks if you do it. I see in your diary that the rh in the tent is 59%, it;s not so bad, surely not dangerous but little bit less is the best for that stage. Good luck!
