Some roots are starting to poke through the drain holes of my Solo cup is that a sign that I should transplant or should I let the plant grow bigger?

FYI I took my own advice and transplanted an RQS Northern Light Auto today, based upon small root growth through the bottom holes in the cup! Thanks for making me check this!

Transplant today! Be careful not to damage exposed roots. Good growing!

Yes, they are ready to be transplanted into their final pot. Their roots want more, you can tell by the look of them. Be gentle and maybe try some mycorrhizae. You can just put the cup into a bigger pot, after you created a high enough layer underneath. Then fill up the rest of the medium, press it gently into place and then remove the cup. You get a perfect cup sized hole to put the plant into. Give them a day to get used to their new home before feeding again. Good luck on your grow! 😘

its definitely ready for a new pot. you can either put it in the container that will be used for the rest of the grow, or gradually increase pot size. If gradually increasing pot size, id say the next size up is a 1 gal. container.

Hello, I would say it's definitely time to repot. It depends on what you have in mind. If you want to grow a smaller plant, go for a 3-liter pot. If you want to go a little bigger, you should start with around 8.5 liters. In any case, you should now put the soil in its final pot. This also prevents additional ring root formation. Best regards.

Hello Magic Juice, yes you can repot the plant as soon as the roots look out of the holes. Looks good! ☺️
