Insufficient Light Penetration Issue

Hello, my plant is Auto SLH. Due to height limitations, I kept it short, but the canopy became too dense. As seen in the photos, insufficient light reaches the lower buds. The plant is 55 days old, Bloom day 18. What would you recommend at this stage?

Defoliation every three days only leaves that are stretching to get light leaves that block bud sites and let recover for three days then so it again this is a on going thing if want solid dense terpene expression that's just my 2 cents

I'd say wait a little for the plant to stop stretching (about day 21-28 flower) Then do a defoliation improving the light penetration and airflow at the same time. I would not advise defoliating heavily during the stretch

In my opinion she seems fine. Plenty of time for her to fatten up during flower including the lower buds. If you really wanted to open the canopy you could add a mesh net and bend the stems through the holes to allow light to reach the lower buds but if you dont have one I would just leave her to do her thing. 😎
