Hey Buddy 🙂
No worries at all, this is actually a really common moment, especially when you’re hearing different opinions from different people.
What you saw being “full of water” is totally normal. At this stage, buds are still very much living tissue. They’re made mostly of water while the plant is alive, just like stems, leaves, fruits, or vegetables. Nothing unusual or wrong there at all.
Dry, dense buds are something that only really exist after harvest and drying. On the plant, they’re more like little water-filled structures that later lose that moisture slowly during drying and curing.
So don’t see this as a mistake, see it as a learning step. You were curious, you checked for yourself, and now you know. That’s how growers actually learn, not by blindly following one opinion over another.
Conflicting advice happens a lot in growing. The trick is exactly what you did: observe, test, and connect the dots yourself.
You’re on the right path, keep asking, keep looking, and keep trusting your experience 🌿
