Hey, I wanted to know why a sprout (cierra leaf) is coming out below the cotyledons on day 30 of an autoflower. Well, it sprouted on day 27, and it seems strange to me that after 30 days the cotyledons are still alive, and even stranger that it's throwing out a side branch where it shouldn't.

I HAVE HAD DAT ALSO!!! AUTOFLOWERING STRAINS CONTAIN GENETICS FROM CANNABIS RUDERALIS!!! RUDERALIAS HAVE A SHORT LIFESPAN AND TRY TO PUSH THINGS TO DA MAX!!!! DAT INDICATES DAT THE PLANT HAS AN EXCESS OF ENERGY AND IS ATTEMPTING TO UTILIZE EVERY AVAILABLE MILLIMETER OF STEM TO PRODUCE FOLIAGE!!!!!

Cannabis can and will do, very strange things at times. I have seen the exact same thing multiple times over my growing career, I would not be worried in the slightest. I would however remove the "weird" growth as an action plan and move on and never think about it again. It is not an indication of any sort of problem with what you are doing or anything wrong with the plant. These sort of things "just happen" from time to time.

Hi there. Your plant is very beautiful. I suppose it’s probably a genetic defect. It can happen, but it shouldn’t affect your plant's growth. If it’s too low, I recommend removing it; that will prevent the plant from drawing energy to a branch that won’t develop well. I hope I could help you. I wish you a great day and see you soon.
