Hey Growmie, congrats on the first outdoor run!
That layering idea is actually spot on for autos. 10cm of LightMix on top is perfect so the seedlings don't get "burned" right away. By the time the roots hit the Batmix at the bottom, they’re usually strong enough to handle the extra juice.
Regarding the nutrients: Honestly, with that Batmix at the bottom, you’re good for a while. I’d stay away from liquid grow nutes for the first 4-6 weeks. That soil has plenty of power. Just watch the plant – as long as the leaves stay nice and green, she’s happy. Only start feeding once she hits flower or if you notice the bottom leaves starting to fade.
You can definitely use root stims from day one though, helps a ton with filling out that 16L pot. Good luck with it!
