hello to me
Even for an Indica, the time of harvest dictates the nature of the effect:
Milky Trichomes (Cloudy):
The THC peak. The effect is more cerebral, intense and sometimes "anxiety-inducing" or paranoid for sensitive people. This is exactly this “head high” that you want to avoid for your patients.
Amber Trichomes
(Amber):
THC begins to break down into CBN (Cannabinol). CBN is known for its sedative, calming and anti-anxiety properties. It “breaks” the aggressiveness of cerebral THC.
what I would advise you for your patients
If your patients react poorly to mental effects (anxiety, racing thoughts), you MUST achieve a higher proportion of amber.
Target:
Aim for around 25% to 40% amber trichomes.
The result will be much more physical ("body stone"), relaxing for the muscles and calming for the mind. This is the ideal stage for medicinal use against insomnia or stress.
but be careful of the other side of the coin
The longer you wait for amber:
Pure power (the “high”) decreases in favor of relaxation.
The taste may become earthier or heavier.
The plant is heavier, so watch carefully for mold inside the Indica buds which are very dense.
I hope this will help you. Have a good day
