Internal leaf temp is dictated heavily by rare of transpiration, the faster a plant respires the more cooling it provides to air around a leaf. Its not a massive difference from ambient but anywhere from 1F to 5F cooler internally. Apparently not, it only does surface, you would need to have a Fibre optic sensor through the leaf to read internal temps. But that's just oferthinking everything. Whatever your ambient is at top of the canopy, minus a few degrees F and boom you have your LST. There are far more important metrics to measure and keep within a certain range than optimizing internal leaf surface temp. Only time you should really care is if you are truly trying to optimize and maximize photosynthesis. The enzyme responsible for photosynthesis works optimally at a internal leaf surface temp of 86F which is anywhere up to 91F ambient. That's at 400ppm atmospheric CO2. Unless you have every last little metric tweaked and optimized I would certainly not worry too much about LST. Running any indoor grow above 86F requires airflow to be spot on, as margins for environmental error increase alot. Certainly attainable but no fancy tools required. Far kore important to keep track of your rootzones temps. Faster you push metabolicly the faster she crashes into problems. Best of luck.
