I don't think there's anything seriously wrong with your plant.
Instead of watering more often, try keeping the humidity around 60–65%. That will reduce how quickly the plant loses moisture.
For watering, I'd rely more on the weight of the pot than the appearance of the soil. It really helps prevent overwatering. Let the soil dry out properly before watering again.
