how much stress hormone can the plant send to heal a few detached leaf injuries, and how does this affect or hinder bud growth during the flowering period in autoflowering plants? I'm not looking for an exact number, but rather the effect of stress hormones on bud growth.

Hi, my friend. In my opinion, you shouldn't do any pruning or heavy training on autoflowers during the vegetative stage because their veg period is very short. If the plant gets stressed, your final yield can drop so much that all your hard work might leave you with nothing more than a couple of joints' worth of buds. 😂💚 So, avoid pruning autoflowers during veg. During the flowering stage, if you want to improve your yield, I'd only recommend using LST (Low Stress Training), since it puts much less stress on the plant than topping or heavy defoliation.👽

On auto your not suppose to groom them as much , topping from what I have did , they grow better when you feed them and leave alone , messing with an autos growth period hinders there bud productivity, so yes you can reduce your yield a lot. By removing leaves on autos

That's a good question and one I cannot answer. I can however say that stress stacks differently for different landrace strains. Sativa / haze remembers stress much more sensibly than an indica or hybrid, and it will follow through with early nanner events, pistil browning and terpene evaporation.
