After the trichomes start turning, how long is personal preference. Best way to tell is to get a magnifying tool like a jeweler’s loup and check once a week to see how many of the trichomes have turned from cloudy to amber.

check out the trichomes, if 10 - 15 % of them are amber then the effect is couch-lock, if they are milky, then it's not couch-lock yet, otherwise, cut off a bud, dry it and test it, if the effect is already suitable for you then harvest it, or do it in several stages with a 1-week interval.. (I would wait a bit longer)
