When do you think I should harvest? What is the optimal time when the trichomes are at their peak? I want a heavy, long-lasting head high

If you're shooting for Peak Thc, then you want to harvest when trichomes are all cloudy. If you want a more balanced high, (me personally) I shoot for 10-15% amber trichs. I experimented one grow and let it get to about 50/50 and it was straight up sleep medicine 😅 guaranteed nap time.

from the photos I would say she could probably use a little more time and swell a bit more, but some close ups of the trichomes or wider pictures of the whole plant would help. for the trichomes, check the heads on the actual calyxes, not the sugar leaves. clear means they’re still immature, cloudy/milky is the main harvest window, while amber shows they’re getting into maturity. if you’re looking for more of a head high, I’d aim for mostly cloudy and a few clear and amber. how heavy and long lasting the high will be depends much more on the genetics and potency than trichomes alone. happy growing!

Then they should be clear... until milky as little as possible to amber.... Still, it also depends on the genetics...

For a heavy, long-lasting high, I’d wait until the trichomes on the actual calyxes are mostly cloudy with roughly 10–20% amber. From this photo the flower looks quite mature, but the image isn’t close enough to accurately judge the trichome heads. I wouldn’t base the decision on pistil color alone, and I’d ignore amber on sugar leaves because they mature earlier. Check a few buds from different parts of the plant with a loupe/microscope. If you’re still seeing lots of clear heads, wait. Once clear is nearly gone and amber starts showing consistently on the calyxes, you’re in the window you’re looking for.

Good morning, you should wait until the trichomes are almost 100% milky (or cloudy), with just the first hints (about 5% to 10%) starting to turn amber, so I would say it's at the point it should be...
