Gärtnern in living soil

My living soil beet is starting to live. There are pots on it, stretching the roots into the living soil. Would it have been better to plant them directly in the ground after they had established themselves in small pots? And then replant them in place when the males go out?

Hello.... Here's my advice... I see you've got a lot of diaries... so you've got some good experience. The plants aren't that big and the roots won't have gone too far into the soil. If you still have to pick out the males, then lift all the pots and put saucers under each pot so they start to get root bound. I've found that if I keep them in solo cups and when they start to get root bound the males show themselves sooner often around weeks 5 to 8. Once you've picked out the males you can put the remaining plants into the square however you want. Do it quickly don't wait till the roots get longer into the soil... You still have to find and pull the males.. Good Luck.

Funktioniert.

It's going to be a headache in the long run you will have to leave in the pots till the end, even thought the roots are coming out the bottom it's restricted but each to there own if you don't try you will never know.gl
