It looks like you still have at least 2-3 more weeks to go. Looks like their not getting enough phosphorus , /potassium and the yellowing looks like sulfur deficiency this is why the buds aren't fattening up.

@Philindicus, it goes up and down sometimes as high as 70 or 80 then drops down again as the day heats up I guess as for the nuts drop B as B is the grow

Need better side pics to tell about the defoliation. Can only tell you never take more than 20% of the leaves by weight, more can run into serious stress, there will be some no matter. I have found leaf tucking a way to reduce the amount removed but I am not there :)

@rhodes68, I have been doing some tucking but I feel it's not enough as for the pics I can't seem to add the side pics to week 8
