@sanibelisl, I usually switch to just water a week or maybe two at most before harvest. But reddit is convinced its pointless and just "bro science" lol. So I guess im trying to flush less now but I do still want to give just plain water for at least a watering or two before chop .
@sanibelisl, so when I was new I mostly relied on checking trichomes. But I've found that not to be the most reliable honestly, and I still do check them sometimes, but i generally look at the whole picture. I wait for the hairs to tighten up, the Calyx to fully swell, as well as the leaf health/progression of a fade. Its honestly more kind of a feel thing for me at thos point more than anything lol. But I will say over the years I have been letting my plants go longer than I used to in general, and its been for the better. I honestly feel as though many people harvest their plants a lil too early.
@sanibelisl, so i keep my lights at a fixed height, pretty much as high as I can put it. Then I've used my PAR meter to adjust the dimmer to get it where I want. I basically have it set so the brightness is more or less perfect for a seedling in a solo cup sitting on the floor of the tent. Then in the midst of flower I use bins/milk carts or even a table to raise the plants to try to get the DLI near 40. Or if its a really tall plant like my hazed and Confused then it works so she doesn't even need a lift.
