It mostly comes to genetics and being in late-flower with healthy plants tho. As for why, I’m not entirely sure but I believe it’s related to the plant’s growth changing with the seasons. The strongest purples seem to come out in outdoor grows from what I’ve seen, where nights often get cold towards harvest. As far as other effects, during flowering I figure that colder temperatures would signal the plant to mature and ripen towards its finish in other aspects as well. Also, if the air is too cold too soon it could instead cause stress, where early purpling is a bad sign of deficiency among other problems Thanks for having a look dog
