<span class="link_user">@UnorthadoxDude</span>, I'm guessing there was a male somewhat close, within a mile or so. The swamp I grew in was on my friends property behind his house in a neighborhood. The swamp was a pretty good method, placed the bucket with holes drilled in the bottom in about 4" of water and the plant takes water as she needs it. Lots of bugs though, grasshoppers, caterpillars etc. The foliage was a bit rough looking but that was expected.
