@bobo420, I'll have to go by distance really, as the led is quite cool, even right next to it. I'll kick it on and check every hour or so. Really appreciate the comments and help.

@homie123, as with any light, it's always best to measure things - measure the temp or just place your hand on the canopy level - if it heats up, it's too close. I'd say that around 40-50cm you should be ok, but like I say - measure it and know for sure. If you can, get a PAR meter you can measure the exact place for your light that's giving you the best output for the plants

@bobo420, They are, I'm using a 100w cfl bulb right now, and trying not to let them grow right into the light. I guess I could kick on the led, but I haven't done a veg with it yet, so I don't know the correct distance. It's a 600w Viparspectra, any recommended distance?
