<span class="link_user">@JaramnieJazz</span>, No, it’s not spider mites. What looks like webbing is actually airborne seed fluff getting stuck on the buds. It happens every year when the girls are in bloom and the humidity rises above 70%-80%.

This one is about a 1 km walk each way, followed by a lovely obstacle course of blackberry thorns, burning nettles, and swarms of biting insects. I picked the spot very strategically: because absolutely nobody in their right mind would want to go in there. So maybe it’s not exactly hard work… but it is definitely painful work.
