Authentic Moroccan Beldia From the Rif Mountains Also known as Kief, the Moroccan Beldia is the variety Riffian farmers used for decades to produce the old school blond/chocolaty Moroccan hash. This landrace strain is easy to grow both indoors and outdoors as it can withstand droughts, high temperatures and thrive in a poor soil. Its sweet honey smell and delicate floral and minty taste are unlike any other strain. Probably one of the fastest-flowering Sativas in the world, this plant is very well suited for outdoor cultivation. Because this variety has adapted to the harsh arid climate of the Moroccan Rif it can withstand high temperatures and thrive with very little water or nutrients. The plants are vigorous but do not grow many side branches which makes this strain highly suitable for Sea Of Green setups. Indoors, the Beldia finishes in only 7 to 9 weeks of flowering. Outdoors, the plants are ripe between the end of August and the end of September. The Moroccan Landrace is low-maintenance and is easy to grow both indoors and outdoors. Specific Characteristics The smoke is sweet and floral with minty and spicy undertones. The Beldia is a fast hitter with a clear joyful high that doesn’t last for too long. Its delicate smell is reminiscent of sweet honey. It is very unique and completely different from what cannabis often smells like. That is why it is ideal for guerrilla growers. Our team collected these seeds years ago in several remote mountainous areas of the Chefchaouen province. In these locations, farmers were still only growing the old Moroccan Beldia. That is why this line is still very pure. These seeds are the result of 4 generations of open pollination. The goal was to decrease the proportion of weak plants and hermaphrodites while preserving the genetic diversity of this strain. The Moroccan Landrace is at least 800 years old and is now quickly disappearing from the Rif Mountains. Moroccan farmers have used it for hash-making since the 1960’s. Prior to that, they used to cultivate it for its fine flowers. Some old-timers in Morocco still like to smoke the kief flowers in their long wooden pipes.

Kullu Valley

Pure Sativa From The Himalayan Foothills The Kullu valley landrace is an elegant, slender and vigorous Sativa with great resistance to mold. Its delicious spicy and herbal aromas combined with its soaring high more than offset its long flowering time. The slim willowy structure and the effects of this landrace can remind Sativa enthusiasts of the old Haze. A True Sativa This spindly Sativa is full of vigor and will grow very tall unless growers know how to train her. For that reason, it is recommended to give these plants only 11 hours of light for 13 hours of darkness from the very beginning. Even at the end of its flowering cycle, the Kullu can revert back to veg in just a few days. It usually happens in less than 3 weeks under a 24h light schedule. The Kullu Landrace is a semi-wild variety that is extremely easy to clone. The cuttings usually root in less than a week. This crazy Sativa often grows side branches that are almost horizontal making it look like a vine. Although the internodal distance is very important during the long flowering stretch, the nodes quickly tighten up as soon as the plants start focusing on flower production. Growers who are up to the challenge will be rewarded with very unusual smelling wispy Sativa buds. The aroma is very complex, it is a subtle blend of Anise, culinary herbs and spices, reminiscent of the best Indian dishes. Soaring Effect Despite a medium THC level, the effects are surprisingly strong, stronger than many strains testing above 20%. The Kullu kicks in very quickly has a long-lasting effect. It is mostly a cerebral high which stimulates the mind. Our friend, a member of the Indian “Collector Collective Genes” collected the seeds (The first generation) directly at source. Last but not least, the Kullu Valley landrace could be interesting for breeder looking to create new vigorous, mold resistant strains with a unique terpene profile.

Balkh Hashplant From The historic Center Of Afghan Cannabis Culture The Balkh hashplant is one of the most legendary afghan cultivars. This flavorful landrace variety has been used for hundreds of years for making a sweet and fruity hashish of the highest quality. These robust plants have been used for centuries and probably even millennia for making one of the most famous hashish in the world Afghanistan has the oldest hashish culture still in existence today. Furthermore, Balkh is arguably the epicenter of the Afghan hash tradition. The Balkh province is home to some of the best sieved hashish in the world such as the famous “Milk of Mazar” and the “Old Golden One”. According to the legend, Baba Ku the famous healer who first brought cannabis to Afghanistan, was burried near the city of Balkh. High Genetic Diversity Just as many pure Afghan landraces, this variety typically produces a very clear stone and a pleasant body relaxation. Unlike many modern Indica-dominant hybrids, the effect isn’t couch lock but rather relaxing and insightful. Potency vary from plant to plant according to the THC to CBD ratio. The plants range from high CBD-low THC all the way to low CBD-high THC. This Balkhi cultivar is easy to grow and flowers relatively quickly. At first the plants all look very similar but as they flower, they start displaying a wide array of aromas, shapes and colors. Not unlike other north Afghan Landraces, the plants can be broad to narrow leafleted. The fastest flowering phenotypes usually display broad leaflets and are medium producers. However, the plants which require 10 to 11 weeks to flower can be very high yielders. Although the buds can end up being quite heavy, these plants almost never need support. Their frame is very sturdy with a large and robust main stem. Thanks to its very high genetic diversity, this cultivar can be extremely useful to pheno hunters looking for rare gems. A Low-Maintenance Cultivar As they flower, about 10% of the Balkh landrace plants gradually turn black. Towards the end of the flowering cycle, some of the plants have become completely black both on the leaves and flowers. These Afghan plants are moderate feeders. They require higher levels of nutrients than most landrace varieties, though, not as much as most modern hybrids. Landrace Genetics, central Asian landrace expert, personally aquired the seeds in the Balkh Province near the city of Balkh in 2018. The Khalifa team has since been adapting this strain to growing indoors by reducing the hermaphroditism and decreasing the amount of undesirable phenotypes while preserving a lot of genetic diversity. This Balkh landrace variety could be a great asset to breeders and pheno-hunters looking for a cultivar full of genetic diversity.

Aladdin’s Skunk, A Classic Old School Skunk The Aladdin’s Skunk comes from the original Skunk#1 strain developed by Sacred Seed Co and later Super Sativa Seed Club. Preserved by the underground community since the late 1980’s and now shared by Khalifa Genetics. Developed in the early 1970’s by Sacred Seed Co. This Skunk#1 is probably the first indoor variety of all time. Sam the Skunkman brought the Skunk#1 seeds to Holland in 1982 and soon after, the famous Super Sativa Seed Club started working with these seeds. Because of its potent well balanced effects, good yields and exceptional stability, hundreds of breeders used the Skunk#1 to make new crosses. Some of the prime examples are the Jack Herer, the Critical and the Super Silver Haze just to name a few… The Aladdin’s Skunk is a selection of Skunk#1 that has been kept pure. It is an inbred line (IBL) which shows both genetic and sexual stability. All the plants have a similar smell, bud structure and flowering time. Apart from the fact that the final height of the plants can vary, it is an incredibly uniform variety. Contrary to popular belief, the original Skunk#1 is not skunky but rather very sweet and slightly fruity. Skunk#1 was named that way only because skunky plants were very trendy in the 70’s and 80’s. What people know as the Roadkill Skunk (RKS) is not a Skunk#1 but another line. Indica And Sativa Characteristics Although the Aladdin’s Skunk flowers very quickly and produces rather dense floral clusters, it displays elegant foxtail style buds thus revealing its Sativa heritage. Likewise, the plants stretch more than most Afghanicas and the buds are quite long. However, the Aladdin’s Skunk is very fast flowering both indoors and outdoors. The plants are usually ready for harvest at the end of September. As they enter the second half of the flowering period, many specimens will grow leaves with double serrations. Growers can expect a high calyx to leaf ratio as well as a high trichome production. The resin glands are very gooey, greasy and almost feel wet. The Aladdin’s Skunk is also easy to trim and has a great bag appeal. When looking at the glistening sticky Skunk flowers with beautiful bright orange hairs, it is hard to imagine that this strain dates back to the 1970’s! This Skunk doesn’t just smell and look good but it is also very tasty. The flavor is very similar to the smell, very sweet with fruity undertones. The effect is strong and long-lasting. It is mostly euphoric and uplifting at first but quickly turns into a relaxing feeling which can linger for a couple of hours. The Aladdin’s Skunk is a pure old Skunk#1 line. It is an old school classic from the 1970’s and still trendy today! Being one of the very first indoor varieties ever, this strain has revolutionized the cannabis scene. It is both great for beginners looking for an easy plant to grow and for breeders wanting a highly stable strain to work with.
