Paints can be an excellent light reflective source, but I don't recommend flat or matte flat unless on a ceiling. I'd use an eggshell, satin or semi-gloss for cleaning and or when things touch the walls it'll be more resistant to abrasion. What is the brightest white paint color? The paint colors with the highest LRV (aka, the brightest white) are Kelly Moore Whitest White (LRV: 94.6), Behr Ultra Pure White (LRV 94.4), Sherwin Williams High Reflective White (LRV: 93). I'd also like to contribute that blurple LED's are some of the most efficient lights I've used in the sense of heat, they seem to generate half the heat as white LED's. This in itself can save a grow operation a bundle of $$$ in reduced cooling cost. However the trade off is obviously worth noting due to our sight working under these spectrums, so a combo of both blurple and white work great for me. Interesting note, Samsung's horticulure LEDs revolve around the 437 nm wave length or blurple. https://led.samsung.com/lighting/applications/horticulture-lighting/

I grow DWC and am very familiar with pythium or root rot. I like the article, but disagree with the light leakage argument. It's not as critical as you state a pinhole isn't a problem. Light leakage also depends on the concentration of light entering the reservoir. Using a black reservoir/lid and black netpot with clay should keep someone from having light leak issues. Lower water temps also help with O2 levels, growing between 68-72 helps the O2 absorption. In the section "Treat the Plant" item 5 states to dry the roots for 2 hours...not sure what you mean but a plant out of the water for 2 hours will kill it. The H2O2 bath should last approx. 20 minutes.

According to your metrics you have 3.5 oz. dry flower per plant; which is very doable, but you also say you have 59 grams dry total.

Understory or side lighting can generate a larger crop, but how much larger is the question and is it really worth the extra cost? I've grown with side and understory, but I honestly don't know how much more was attained. Maybe a gain of 10% over-all and maybe half that in expenditures, so is it really advantageous on small grows? I already owned the lighting hardware, so I was already setup. I used blurples, because they're not as hot as white lights. I also believe the side/lower light should be avoided if light is required on top where the main colas are located.

No one should still use CFL as a grow light. Every LED, is better than a CFL. Less wattage, less heat, more light,... Please dont use CFL anymore!

CFL's will grow plants just like T5's or other fluorescent lights, but you can get a mediocre panel 100W LED off Amazon or EBAY for $30 if you'll shop. CFL's can't be directionalized, therefore a huge amount of light and energy is wasted.

@Ringo
, Thanks for stopping by. She was at the end of her run about the same time the weather turned cold and wet so it worked out fine.

, they are new level Hydro buckets. I lift the lid. It's just a ball a little bigger then a pong ball. In a tube with a long top, and another tub on top. They were sponsored to me long ago. I just use then now because I have no other extra buckets that I have anchors etc. In.

Looking good! I've thought about making some sight nutrient level tubes similar to yours, but never got around to it. How do you like them are they useful and are these DIY or did you purchase them. They look like aquarium under gravel lift tubes with straws and a mini ping pong ball on the bottom. Do you fill from the tube or are you lifting the lid?

Somethings not right in the numbers...Indeed, CP we need a new data input employee 😉. The data shows 12 oz. wet bud equating to approx. one oz. of dry bud, however I see a bunch of jars filled with dried bud 😜 Nice grow, thanks for sharing 🙌

@Ringo
, It's photoperiodic in soil. It's hard to control plants with different genetics. Some are lower, some are higher, some grow sideways, others stretch out. Good luck with your project :)
