@Sejanus21, you actually did well considering you still harvested something and you enjoyed it. pH, O2 levels and temps are all critical in hydro because everything is at the roots. If the solution temps are below 72F, just forget hydro. Chances the plants will get root rot equates to 95%. That's why I mentioned try it in soil, because you won't have to worry too much about those critical items (with quality soil) when growing in hydro. BTW hydro is the only way I grow and I've had root rot 100% of the time due to water temps, I refuse to buy a chiller. This next grow will be soil for me. Best grow to you, keep it growing!
@SwissKush, I don't have Mars, but I do have 100-150 panel lights which are similar. I can see why you din't want the temp to rise growing in DWC @ 72F, which is the border-line solution temp. I'll look at your other grows. Thx :grinning:
@Ringo, Hey it was 2 TS1000's, with the dimmers down to 70-75% during flowering to control temps. For VEG it was 2 at 100%. Back then Growdiaries allowed more light options when building diaries. That was 2 years ago, and Ill never go back to the Mars Hydro lights again. Since then Ive used Gavita and SANLight, with SANLight being the winner.
If you have 2 x TS1000 dont make the mistake I did and turn them down from 100%. Always keep them at full power. The difference in quantity and quality is extreme. Ive got a new diary going with the new SANLight EVO, and a new DWC setup, check it out!
