You can top them during their veg phase fine from what i've read but whenever i have fimmed something it always takes really long for that fimm point to start growing adequately. I would avoid the fimm due to the limited time you get vegging in autoflowers. I'm not super experienced though so if anyone else with more experience says differently i'd go with what they say. ALl the best.
