Not just a question but a complete workaround :innocent: Project mini mama is done and I need to get rid of some ladys. As she is too chaotic and productive she needs to go. I am not used to blooming mothers or such totally uncontrollable stuff and I already see the mold. The result of the work around should be harvest the mini mama + cuttings (-1 to 3 for reproduction). Please be so kind and provide me with !experience! I can/have read on my own :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: First step, cuttings. I need to cut off some shoots at the basis to get some air: 1.) I usually use rather fresh and small shoots. Rooting time/success rate is not a big issue! How high and thick can cuttings be at max.? The shoots at the 4 stems are already ~5mm and partly wooden :confounded::confounded:. 2.) As I did not use large cuttings. Is it possible to take one shoot and make several cuttings, e.g. every second/third node? I see no reason why not but never saw it. Anyway, pls provide me with info that this idea is crap. Otherwise I have to test it... and I am pretty sure I'll end up with cuttings for the whole neighborhood. :joy: Second step would be rooting and making mommy ready for blooming with targeted training. 1.) I have a diy cloner. I will root in air or cultivation cubes. This will take 10-15 days, worst case 20. Then I will give them 1 week in the final pot. As I am not sure about the cuttings..... can I somehow (at least a bit) estimate a final pot size e.g. by height or something like that? Usually I use 1 gal for cuttings with 1-2 week veg, but as mentioned above my experience is just when they are really small and I only have main cola or 2-4 branches in the 1 gal. 2.) How to train this freak for blooming? I think I cut off half of everything, directly at the stem. So I already got some air. On the other hand, for every cutting I won't do at the stem, I will get a wild girl again. So more than half? Or just the cuttings I need - stretch - selection? My heart is broken when I think of that waste:joy: What training mehtods? - I will not install my ScroG!!!!!:smiling_imp: 3.) I planned to keep her as long as possible mini, but well.:rage: So I need another pot size (4l atm). Be reminded, her age and looks (atm) won't count. If I train her like you propose - repotting + ~3-4 weeks veg (getting cuttings ready), then switch. Which pot size? I would say standard 11-16L? But I am in urgent need for experience here :smiley: Third step blooming and harvest. - Everything will be easy going if you provided me with good advice/experience :yum: If you got through this text. Then low light + high distance + lst? But then I will have like ~40 shoots and no ScroG (perhaps I'll install it :confused:)
