Mango Crunch, as the name suggests, boasts a big, fruity aroma. This hybrid strain brings together two special phenotypes of Sour Diesel and Dutch Afghani, resulting in a very balanced strain that's super easy to grow. It also makes for a very versatile smoke that will leave you focused, relaxed, and happy, without producing negative side effects like anxiety or paranoia.

MANGO CRUNCH LINEAGE

Mango Crunch is a 65% indica-dominant hybrid. The exact genetics behind this strain are unknown, but it is rumoured to be a cross between an old indica from the north of the Netherlands and a sativa-dominant hybrid from California's Emerald Triangle.

Mango Crunch's indica parent is a special Afghani bred in Groningen in northern Holland. This unique variety impresses with very high resin production and an express flowering time. Its aroma is typical of a top-shelf Afghani, boasting a complex mix of earth, herbs, pine, and hints of spice. Its effects are characterised by a sense of deep physical sedation and mental euphoria.

Typical of plants from the region, Mango Crunch's Afghani parent has a sturdy structure with short internodal spacing. It develops thick, green foliage and has been bred to perform well in small indoor setups and colder outdoor environments. This strain is compact, easy to grow, and resistant to pests—traits that it successfully passed down to its offspring.

Mango Crunch's sativa parent, on the other hand, is a special Sour Diesel phenotype (Super Skunk x Chemdawg 91). This invigorating sativa produces a strong, cerebral high that's energising and instantly uplifting. Many people love this strain for its long-lasting effects that don't interfere with one's ability to stay productive or focused.

One thing that sets this strain apart from other sativas is its unique sweet and sour fuel aroma laced with hints of pepper, citrus, and herbs. In the grow room, Sour Diesel plants grow big, developing long, thick stems and branches to support the weight of their big, crystal-coated buds come harvest time.

GROWING MANGO CRUNCH

Thanks to its indica dominance, Mango Crunch is super easy to grow. These plants reach a medium size and respond particularly well to trimming and training. Pruning will keep these plants even more compact and improve light penetration to all bud sites. LST, on the other hand, can help keep your Mango Crunch plants even smaller, should you have a tiny grow room/tent or want to avoid prying eyes outdoors.

Like its Afghan parent, Mango Crunch flowers very quickly, requiring only 55–60 days to mature its buds for harvest. This is a high-yielding strain that performs very well indoors and outdoors. Under artificial lights, you can expect plants to produce up to 500g/m², while outdoor plants are capable of producing up to 500g each.

The buds you harvest from Mango Crunch will be very dense, bright green in colour, and coated in a frosty layer of sticky trichomes. Thanks to its huge resin production, this strain is great for making your own concentrates such as rosin or hash. Regardless of your skill level, this strain is a great addition to any indoor or outdoor garden.

EFFECT, FLAVOUR, AND AROMA OF MANGO CRUNCH

Mango Crunch produces well-balanced effects. After the first hit, you'll notice a wave of deep physical relaxation creeping in. Expect a warm feeling of serenity to course through your body. Over time, you'll feel the cerebral effects kicking in. You'll notice your mood improve, and you may even enjoy spurts of creativity.

While Mango Crunch can produce up to 20% THC, the strain is anything but overwhelming. You can toke away at Mango Crunch and still stay productive, social, and focused. It's great to use before going running or doing other kinds of physical activity.

In fact, it's a great social smoke to enjoy with friends, and it can also enhance the experience of listening to your favourite record or watching your favourite movie. If you want to unwind at home after a long day at the office, Mango Crunch will get you to where you need to be, post-haste.

Besides its balanced and versatile effect, Mango Crunch is also super aromatic. It has a strong diesel aroma from its Sour Diesel parent, enhanced with tart citrus tones reminiscent of grapefruit and mango. On the inhale, you'll notice very sweet overtones covering your entire palate. As you exhale, however, some of that sweetness will be mixed with sour citrus notes, leaving you with a unique sweet-and-sour aftertaste.

The plants smell fruity with fresh acidity and slightly sweet. Don't expect fat buds or high THC%. The smell is fruity and sweet, with some citrus freshness as wel. Plants made to much leaves instead of flowers.

Like all other 5 RQS regular strains, this Mango Crunch strain isn't that gorgeous. They do not come anywhere near the excellent quality of the RQS female seeds. The Mango Crunches contains both sativa and indica phenotypes. The plants have too many leaves and too few buds. Two of the five Mango Crunch plants were very tall sativas, with foxtail fluffy buds. The remaining plants were short Indicas that ripened quickly. The plants are not that sticky, which indicates a low trichome production. The sativas are a bit more sticky. The plants smell fruity with fresh acidity and slightly sweet. The Indicas are sweeter, the Sativas more spicy. Don't expect fat buds or high THC%.
