Fo' Twenny Back with another update on our Grandaddy Purple from Blimburn Seeds! She is looking really good this week. She still have a few of the feformed leaves that look wrinkled. From some googling, I would guess either Tobacco Mosaic Virus or just a natural deformity. She a cutting from a previous run and she has it then too. It isn't wide spread and she still put out quality medicine. Even though she wasn't very Grandaddy Purplish, she was still gassy and frosty! Other than the funky leaves, she looks super healthy with her leaves "praying" to the canna-gods! Now, let me nerd out with the deets! LIGHTING: Increased lighting at dimmer last week with good results. Was about 70k LUX on average @ Canopy. Turning it up a bit more this week. 8 Outer Boards @ 665.5w 6 Inner Boards @ 601w LUX APP MAXES OUT READING 78750 LUX @ Canopy. Lets hope its not too much! Man how great is my Medusa F1 from Royal Queen Seeds, She is really taking off in the second week of flowering. I mean, have you seen the fruit formation on this girl? She's going to be a real beast! It has been a week of snap snap snap! let's call it accidental toppings - yes - multiple. The OG Kush seems to be quite fragile compared to other strains I've grown. Continued LST has resulted in me snapping off the end of the main stem and another major branch. Both days within switching the light regime. Now I have to fill up the net using lateral branches. Initiated flowering with an extended dark period (32hrs) prior to switching light regime at the beginning of the week - this practice is supposed to promote a faster initiation of flowering by the plant. Light green spots and other spots noted on big fan leaves, possibly a calcium or other deficiency. Spots are lighter shade, irregular though some are circular. End up turning bronze colour dust. No pests have been spotted during extensive inspections. The problem remains to older leaves only and doesn't seem to be affecting any new growth. I also think I may have some Nitrogen toxicity due to my CalMag solution having a NPK ratio of 6-0-0. Getting some low N solution this week so hopefully that will address any impact on the flowering stage. The plant still seems to be strong, forming strong branches and massive fan leaves. Growth is being tucked under the net to fill it up. Pruned a few stems and leaves from below the canopy which may never see the light of day. Run-off EC still remains below target. Tracking run-off volume/EC/pH at every fertigation event as I manage the feed EC to monitor what the plant is doing/feeding. Fertigation is maintained now to once a day (at lights on) to maintain the target EC. Light period is during the night time to better maintain heat/humidity conditions during light off period (which happens during daytime). ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The grow setup includes ; - Secret Jardin DS120W tent (120cm x 60cm x 180cm) placed inside the bedroom - Mars Hydro SP250 LED light - extraction fan - AC Infinity Cloudline T6 (gives me great control over the environment) - ventilation fans - aquarium heater for nutrients solution (for winter use only) - small oil heater (for winter use only) - small dehumidifier - 20L Airpots (as final pots) and 3.5L general plastic pots (for seedling stage) - Canna Coco substrate mixed with 40% perlite - GHE Flora Trio as base nutrients and various additives - pH and EC/TDS meters - 2x Govee Thermo/Hygro meters (one at canopy, the other at the roots level - these allow for external monitoring and recording) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Some strain info from Royal Queen Seeds ; An amazing mix of genetics background - Its true genetics are unknown. Some say OG Kush is a mix of ChemDawg with a Lemon Thai and Pakistani Kush. Others say that it’s just a special cutting of ChemDawg from the early 90s. First day in Flower! It's been... very interesting 2 weeks.. now that I survived tha, im having some lockout due to being unable to take care of my plants for the past 5 days and someone having no idea had to do the job, I'm not afraid of showing these mistakes I'm always looking forward to the outcome so I'm still having some hopes for this og kush, not everything here went as planned and that's why I want to focus on finishing up the grow and starting new ones, better ones as soon as possible, I will definitely never grow autos again as I'm just not a fan of them having to be on 18/6 schedule and I like having co trolley over my plants as sometimes things can go wrong. Og kush had a lockout after flush it grew beautiful but still ate up some of the upper leaves. Runtz.. yeah I like him he is a beautiful little bonsai he didn't get lockout too much but also did I'm looking forward to seeting the stretch on him if it so happens. Cherry gusher, a tiny pheno I got this time I'm looking forward to growing 4 next time and hunt down a pheno. They say outdoors you have to play with God and indoor you try to play God.. we are not perfect and that's why I'm looking forward to the finish line. Will i scrog? I have the net setup but I'm not sure if I will get enough stretch. Day 3 I noticed some light white spots on bottom leaves of the plant after a flush I did recently, I diagnose this as magnese or magnesium deficiency, I'm going to up the cal mag to 8 ml and a+b to 10ml per 5 L of water along with additives extra 0.5 ml just as a touch up. Also I noticed we are at 47cm at the tallest branch after topping and lst and this thing is an absolute bush.. I could probably hide behind it if I was a kid playing hide and seek!.

Ever since I turned to mars hydro I have double sometimes nearly quadrupled my yields I first had with eBay lights (meh) I have never looked back since and gained so much respect from the community and the breeders too! Week 2 Both plants looking great so far , good growth rate 📈 and looking healthy so far. Boosting a bit nutrients to see how much they can take to maximize their potential starting later this week. Roots have been already all over the bottom of the pots while looking thick and healthy 💥 D4 Applied some foliar feed this morning while turning off the lights for an hour till they dried /sucked up all the juice from their leaves. mixture was basically water with 1ml/lt boost accelerator. Both look really nice and healthy in other news 🍀😅

And there ready along with there big sister 67 days in flower to achieve the best smell I’ve ever smelt, these plants weren’t touched at all, not one leaf was removed throughout the entire grow, no nutrients, no PH the water, and I think it just shows for its self. same plan for drying and curing as the big one, will be back with a smoke review. Week 6. They jumped quite a bit in height, tent is getting too small…

As expected the signs of deficiency started to dissappear once the roots were formed D19: topped #1 D21: did some cleaning of the roots of #1 D22: topped #2 and switched the light to 20/4

So! A bunch has happend this week: defoliation, stretching and puttin' on some guuuuud weight ^_^ I defoliated the bottom third tier of each plant (about 6 to 10 leaves every 2 to 3 days over the week) They stretched like crazy, almost doubled in height for 2 of them as usual and the lil bish is coming on strong, with more bud sites and overall best morphology! And last point of this week's update, the swelling of the flowers has started and is in full gear to produce some beauties :D See y'all next week ;)

Week 10 oh my gosh. Some pistols have became brown. I will wait to 50% of them beign that color in order to wash and then harvest! I hope to Top Max does its job fattening the buds :D
