I noticed some unwanted visitors in the form of thrips and fungus gnats, so it was time to take action. But hey, I prefer a natural approach, so I called upon some tiny allies to join the battle. I introduced nematodes to the soil, those microscopic warriors who feast on the unsuspecting pests. It's like having a secret army of predators ready to defend my precious plants. But that's not all! To further bolster the defenses, I invited some other beneficial insects to the party. Spical Ulti Mite and Swirskii, the mighty protectors, joined forces to keep those unwanted critters in check. Starting my first grow in the new tent with my first Mephisto seeds. Grabbed these from seedslocker a few months ago and they've been sitting in my seed vault in the fridge since. Popped them in a glass of water at 8pm on 10/18. Broke out the AC Infinity propagation system and added a bit of RO water to some coco pucks. About 24 hours later they sunk in the glass and had opened up a bit with root peaking out, so into the pucks they went on the evening of 10/19. No real movement on 10/20, turned the heat pad off because they were a little warm. Morning of 10/21 the Compound V I have in the propagator is popping and the pucks for the Fugue State seem to be moving a bit, I think they'll make their way out tonight. Opened vents on the dome to let them breathe a bit more. Fugue State all popping / on the cusp of popping by the early evening. Solid day of sprouting. 10/22 continued to develop as seedlings, one of the Fugue State is a bit stuck in it's shell, hoping it pops through soon. 10/23 transplanted into grow tent, working on dialing in humidity and temp. Dialed in lights at 1.5ft and level 2, checked with PAR meter and DLI calculator. #2 still stuck in it's shell, let's go little buddy! The tent has been stood up and cooking a bit w/ the lights blazing and a dehumidifier running to dry out our soil a bit. Had issues with fungus gnats last grow and I'm trying to prevent that this time. Ordered some beneficial nematodes as a line of defense and sprayed soil with a good soak of neem oil as a precaution after drying out. Sticky traps show no gnats so far. Soil is Coast Of Maine Stonington Blend Aeration Formula, a 70 / 30 Coco / Perlite blend that I've used before. I have Coast of Maine dry nutrients and Fox Farm liquid nutrients, will likely try to stick to the dry nutrients unless fungus gnats emerge again. Soil is in 5 gallon fabric pots. I added 2/3 cup of Stonington Blend Plant Food and 1/3 cup of Wiscasset Blend Earthworm Castings to each pot along with some Mycorrhizal Fungi spores and worked it in. I have been using the AC Infinity self watering bases but as I'm running 6 total plants this grow I've ordered the new Vivosun self watering bases to compare them.

Update

After I repotted the plants, they grew really well and healthily for 12 days. Now they are showing iron deficiency again... I already had the problem before repotting. The pH value of the earth has fallen again to 4.8 to 5.7. This time I used biodegradable braids to germinate. I believe that this is the reason for the PH fluctuations in the soil. Every time I water I measure the PH and adjust it to 6 - 6.5. Nevertheless, the PH value drops back to 4 to 5. I'm trying to correct the problem. I also work with neemoil because I can't get rid of the trips

2025-00-06 So i had to Tame my " Monstra Hermosa" because she was overgrowing the Lights /( alredy) shes in week 3 of flower, she ot a SCROG and some HST and supercropping The other Plant was harvested and i was soo sticky and lovely citrussy smelling- she reiminded me to silver haze- lots of sticky buds are curing.

Esta por empezar el engorde final. Ya las flores estan casi formadas. La altura está al límite total. Uno o dos centímetros más y estaría en problemas de verdad. El engorde de muchas flores ya es notorio, pero creo que el uso de un bioestimulante que no es de primera línea, ha reducido el potencial de las plantas. De todos modos hasta no tener el resultado final no puedo afirmar nada. La solución de esta semana fue cargada con más pk booster para ver cómo funciona la linea de greenhouse en esta etapa. Suelo usar pk 13/15 de canna. Pero esta vez puse el que tenía. Seguiré actualizando. Día 31. Se nota mucho el engorde. Las hojas muestran pequeños signos de sobre fertilización, pero nada grave que no haya visto antes. Me suele pasar en esta semana en todos los cultivos en hidroponia. Pero las veces que ko me pasó, no tuve el engorde deseado. Por eso manejo mediciones de PPM superiores 1000. Se empieza a ver cuáles van a ser los cogollos más grandes, pero sigo con incertidumbre sobre cuanto más van a engordar. Estoy bastante conforme al momento. Hoy tuve contacto con plantas macho, pero me cambié toda la ropa antes de acercarme al indoor y le lavé. Además no sé si sumará, pero me rocío en alcohol cada vez que entro a casa, así que espero no tener problemas. Ya voy a ir preparando los esquejes para la próxima siembra. Quizá no logre sacar 10 de las madres que tengo. Pero quizá ponga menos y los haga crecer más tiempo y con bastante LST. Pero será en otro protecto. Por ahora espero que siga el engorde. Día 33. Ya el engorde es un hecho. Por el momento estoy bastante satisfecho. La solución se concentró demasiado así que tuve que agregar agua. Pero más allá de algunos signos de sobre fertilización mínimos y pasajeros en las hojas, la plantas se muestran saludables y firmes. Todavía sigo buscando la posibilidad de agregar overdrive la semana que viene. Todo está por verse. Ya puedo asegurar que va a haber una séptima semana de floración, sino debería empezar el lavado en 2 días, cosa que a la vista, sería muy apresurado. Así que seguiré esperando a ver las flores con los pistilos más secos. Entre tanto los tricomas ya están formados, pero recién van a empezar la maduración en unos días. No saco foto porque el celular no hace buen foco con la lupa, pero ya intentaré mas adelante. Día 35. Cierra la semana con una buena idea de lo que van a ser los cogollos. Según el calendario de la planta, debería empezar el lavado esta semana, ya que sería la última. Pero por la madurez de los tricomas, todavía le faltan entre 10 días y 2 semanas más. Así que se viene otra semana de sobrecarga de PK y voy a aumentar la dosis para aprovechar a medir el nivel de tolerancia de la planta a altos niveles producto. Al ser hidroponia y trabajar con el ambiente bastante controlado, confío en que voy a poder aplicar correctivos a tiempo, si empiezo a notar defasajes bruscos.

Stacking hard this week. This plant requires some aggressive defoliation and canopy management, because it was a thick, lemony jungle of buds. Hate to lose the bud sites but they can't all get enough light. Should be in a pretty strong position going forward to bulk up and finish over the next 3 to 4 weeks. Angel is getting stronger.... Still mostly citrus but it's changing daily now. Home stretch!! 🔥 ? 🍋

Hello. This is the end of week 8 and the beginning of week 9 of veg. Sure are growing now. The roots are liking the compost they found. Got my hydro system up and running in here. Last year I had some small tips on the hydro leads and was giving 15 minutes of solution per day. I've got different, new tips this year, a lot more open. The landscapers call them 1/2 circle. I had been watering with rainwater and having the runoff run back to the reservoir. Good thing I checked it, it was; 7 ph and 1800 ppm. Adjusted it to 6.2 ph and 1200 ppm. I can give the same amount of solution in 2 minutes now, so my 15 gallon reservoir will last a week. It's not quite enough liquid to have them fully watered, so I feel with my fingers and when dry enough I give a gallon or two of water until it runs out and back into the reservoir (the green hose is tray drainage back to the reservoir). The plants loved it last year and I'll do the same thing. Got the plants spreading out now. I can see the mainlines spreading under the rungs of the table. I got some bamboo from Canadian Tire and filled the space between tables. I might get some more and make something to hold the budding branches up (like the soccer net but with bamboo). Made the first video of this year. You can get a feeling of how it is in here. 😃 I'll try to make one a week to keep you updated. I think that's everything for this week. What’s going on growmies? Hope you had an amazing week and plenty of 💨. I had a really bad weather this week it rained 4 days straight and the wind was horrific it was like a small hurricane. Also 1 of them looks like dead already so probably im gonna take that space and use it for the 2 green poison im growing leaving this diary either only papaya cookies. Still 1 of them isn’t flowering. This first grow of auto is really giving me headache but ill keep it up! I’ll keep you updated next Sunday hopefully we get a poker with all sunny days around here. Its the beginning of the week, all doing fine, Besides one that's showing deficiency but still looking great. Increase the feeding to 0.5/lt biogrow. 1.5/lt bio bloom and 0.5/lt top max. Thats all im feeding. Increase bio bloom to 3ml/lt The one that's showing deficiency is better now new growth looks healthy. I guess another month to harvest.

2nd time around Miss Candy Auto is doing very good. She is putting on weight in her buds and Getting very frosty. This Fall weather is much better than the dog days of summer. Hello Diary. The second week of flowering is over, so let’s see what it looked like last week. Watermelon Auto reached 61 cm, meaning it began to stagnate in growth. It is nicely branched and wide, it is full of leaves so I will need to do a little cleaning soon. I have yellow-brown spots on the lower leaves and the leaves are totally decaying, since I give her nutrients like her roommates Purple Punch, I’m not sure what the cause is. It could be over feeding, but also a lack of some element. All in all, the “Farm” is now a real jungle, along with Watermelon, there are also her two roommates, Purple Punch, so each of them is fighting for as much light as possible. The humidity in the Box is still lower than I would like, the temperature is good. Let's see what the week looked like: 24/02/2021 - Day 29. Watering. I regulated, that is, lowered the p.H. at 6.4 and put 1 Easy Bloom Tablet, on 7 liters of water. Temp / Humidity on the farm - 24.8 degrees and 42% humidity. 27/02/2021 - Day 32. Watering. I adjusted the p.H to 6.4 and added BioBizz as scheduled for the second week of flowering. Temp / Humidity on the farm - 24.9 degrees and 35% humidity. 02/03/2021 - Day 35. Watering and height measurement. This time I did not add any nutrients but only regulated p.H at 6.3. Height Watermelon Auto - 61 cm. Temp / Humidity on the farm - 25.2 degrees and 39% humidity.
