02/24/25 - Short Facts: - Plant is looking horrible, quite many leaves have necrosis -- had to cut many off - VPD increased to 1.2, but I can only get it up to 1.1 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So, what is there to say? I haven't had as much time lately, so I haven’t been keeping a close eye on the plants in general—especially on the 1:Walt. But a few weeks ago, I noticed that something was wrong and concluded that it had to be a sulfur deficiency. So I bought Epsom salt, which contains both sulfur and a lot of magnesium. And here was my first mistake: I misdiagnosed the deficiency. My next mistake was using way too much Epsom salt—far more than I should have. That was a big mistake, which only made things worse. This is how the plant started to look like, but unfortunately, I caught it too late—like I said, I was quite busy. It was so obvious that something was going wrong. The leaves at the top of the plant looked worse and worse by the day. So I did some research and came to the following conclusions: - I misdiagnosed the problem. It was never a sulfur deficiency but actually a manganese deficiency. The small spots all over the leaves later became necrotic, eventually killing some of them. - By adding too much Epsom salt, I disrupted the balance between calcium and magnesium. This inhibited calcium uptake, leading to the symptoms of a calcium deficiency as well. I bought some "micronutrients" that do contain manganese and I watered it in and also sprayed the foliage. Right now, the plant looks so bad that I don’t know if she’ll be able to finish flowering or if I’ll have to do an emergency harvest. The next big problem is that I won’t be here for about ten days, starting on Wednesday next week. So yeah... not good.

Flowering is starting and i did some defoliation. Watering only with water but the Glookies got just 2 times in 2 weeks some biobizz flowering, top max and growth because it got kind of brighter. Also supercropped some of the to high mains so that the central canopy stays mor or less even.

Second real week of flowering completed with a very stable transition after the stretch phase. Plants have finished stretching and clear flower site formation is now visible across the canopy, with abundant white pistils and a very uniform structure. The environment has been kept well controlled throughout the week, running temperatures around 24–25 °C, relative humidity close to 50–55%, and a stable VPD in the 1.4–1.5 kPa range. This has allowed proper transpiration without any signs of stress. Root zone temperatures remained in the optimal range, around 20–21 °C, supporting healthy root activity. In terms of lighting, PPFD was progressively increased to around 850–880 µmol/m²/s, resulting in a DLI of approximately 38–39 mol/m²/day. This is a high but safe level for this stage, always supported by a balanced environment. Plant response has been very positive, with no signs of light stress. Nutrition has been gradually adjusted toward flowering, maintaining a good balance between continued growth and floral development. EC has been stable around 1.1–1.2 mS/cm with a pH close to 6.3. Leaves remain healthy with good turgor and overall color, with slight tonal variations that are normal during this transition phase. Overall, a very solid week: vigorous plants, well-formed structure, and a clean, healthy start to flower production. Everything is set up perfectly to enter week 3, where the focus will be on consolidating early bud development while maintaining environmental and root-zone balance.

It was an invaluable experience growing outdoors. In general, we can safely conclude that it is not recommended to plant photoperiod plants at my latitude, you need to look towards early stains. Upd: From part of the harvest, I prepared cannabutter, the cooking process in the photo) Upd2:Warning:! A very strong concentrate is taught, not for beginners!

I started Flushing two plants as there nearing the end of there days. I'll start Flushing the others this week apart from the kalimist indica pheno as it started flowering 3 or so weeks after the others even though they were all forced together. (alkward bugger) Some of the plants are showing red /purple colours a little bit 👍

overall i've learned a lot fro mthis grow. Had fungus gnats, a little mold on #2 (discovered during harvest) and also experienced what its like to grow in pure peatmoss. amended to little at times, amended too much at other times. three completely different grows. Plant #1 was by far the best one. Most resin production and overall most stable in terms of nutrient uptake and deficiencies. overall i will probably not grow a lot of sativa's inside this fridge anymore. its just not good to have them all foxtail and stress out over small things. Time for more indica's! 😇

Great growth this week from the 6 hydro. Slower results from the 2 in All-Mix which was expected. I'm not sure whether to keep them on veg or to top them and flip them this week. Anybody out there grown THC Bomb before with any experience on the above? Cheers

🌱 Germination Journey with Terpyz Mutant Mentha de Croco 🌱 Hey Grow Fam! Today kicks off an exciting adventure with Terpyz Mutant Mentha de Croco genetics. I’ve got 10 regular seeds ready to sprout, and I’m looking forward to discovering some beautiful female phenotypes—and maybe even a standout male for potential future breeding. It’s been a while since I’ve worked with regular seeds, so I’m thrilled to dive in! Germination Process Overview: Here’s a step-by-step rundown of the germination setup and process, with a special focus on the equipment and nutrients that are helping these seeds thrive right from the start. Step 1: TheCannaKan Germination Pod 🌱 For germination, I rely on TheCannaKan—a device I’ve come to love and trust. It’s designed to create the perfect microclimate for seed germination, and within just 24 hours, the seeds started showing signs of life. By the 32-hour mark, they were all ready to be transferred to the next stage! I can’t recommend this gadget enough for anyone serious about getting strong, early growth from their seeds. • Why TheCannaKan? • Humidity Control: Ensures seeds stay hydrated without oversaturation. • Stable Temperature: Maintains an even temperature around the seeds, so there’s no shock or stalling. • Enhanced Oxygenation: Keeps fresh air circulating, helping prevent mold and ensuring seeds don’t suffocate. Step 2: Transfer to Root Riots & Aptus Holland Supplements 💧 Once the seeds were sprouted, I transferred them into Root Riots, known for their excellent water retention and structure that encourages strong root growth. Root Riots also have a pH-balanced, spongy texture that makes it easy for roots to penetrate, promoting sturdy, healthy root systems. At this stage, I started using Aptus Holland’s Regulator and Startbooster at 1ml/L each. Here’s why I chose these products for early growth: • Aptus Regulator (1ml/L): Helps strengthen the plants against environmental stresses by supporting cell wall structure. It’s a fantastic choice for giving young seedlings an early boost in resilience. • Aptus Startbooster (1ml/L): This product provides essential microbes and nutrients that stimulate root growth and early plant vigor. Especially for regular seeds, the early root development makes a noticeable difference in later growth stages. Step 3: Lighting with Future of Grow (FOG) LED at 200 PPFD 💡 For lighting, I’m using a Future of Grow (FOG) 600W LED. For the germination stage, I’ve dimmed it to around 200 PPFD (photosynthetic photon flux density), which provides just enough light for healthy, strong seedling growth without overwhelming them. • Why Low Intensity? • 200 PPFD ensures that young plants aren’t exposed to too much light, which could cause stress or stunting. This level of intensity is perfect for encouraging healthy development without risking “stretching.” • The FOG LED provides a balanced spectrum tailored to plant growth, setting up these young sprouts for success as they grow. Step 4: Environmental Control with TrolMaster Tent X Controller 📲 For monitoring and control, I’m using the TrolMaster Tent X Controller, which lets me dial in every aspect of the environment to make sure these little ones have the perfect conditions for germination and early growth. • TrolMaster Benefits: • Precision Control: Adjust temperature, humidity, and lighting all in one place. • Notifications: Sends updates in real-time to my device, so I can make adjustments as needed without being physically present. • Consistency: Maintains stable conditions around the clock, reducing stress on seedlings and ensuring they’re thriving. Grow Tips & Reflections: Germination is one of the most crucial stages in a plant’s lifecycle. Starting with strong genetics like Terpyz Mutant Mentha de Croco, combined with a solid germination setup and the right nutrients, creates the foundation for a successful grow. 💡 Quick Tips for Fellow Growers: • Hydration Balance: Don’t oversaturate! Moisture levels should be high enough for the seeds to sprout but not so wet that they drown. • Light Management: A low PPFD for young seedlings prevents stretch and keeps nodes tight, preparing them for a healthy vegetative phase. • Environment Consistency: Use a reliable controller like the TrolMaster Tent X to manage your settings, and consider monitoring tools for real-time adjustments. Shout Outs to the Community: Big thanks to Terpyz Genetics for these incredible seeds, Aptus Holland for their top-notch nutrients, Future of Grow for the stellar LED lights, and TrolMaster for the amazing controller. Also, shout out to all of you in the growing community—you make this journey exciting and filled with endless learning. Let’s keep growing and sharing together! That’s it for the germination update! Next up, I’ll be monitoring growth closely to identify strong females (and maybe a standout male for breeding). Everything’s wonderful. But a lot of work to do @ the moment.. Today I had to realize once again how different a run can be. One Dark Devil has given up. So I had to harvest her. About 2 weeks early. This specimen had already resented the topping, I think. She didn't show much effort to become more branched and was already pre-flowering in week 2. I am looking forward to a few suggestions or opinions from you, dear garden friends. I'll put photos in a moment... Normally, I wouldn't top an automatic of the Red Family from Sweet Seeds from experience. Somehow they had problems more often, when I did. When they were fully grown, they were usually very productive and healthy. She simply had too weak nerves. But that's ok. My nerves are also pretty down. Due to the loss of my beloved Quimaria - I miss my sweet cat girl insanely. That's why I didn't want to interrupt this passage with the good old Secret Jardin to set up the Homebox. Too many beautiful memories stick to this tent, because my ladybug always sat at the edge of the bed, when I did my gardening. For me, this also means a kind of farewell. This plant also began to bloom after a very short time. But I'm happy about more space, because all the other comrades-in-arms like it very much and everything is progressing properly. She behaved as if she was already slightly over time. Little perspiration. And no changes were noticeable. Leaves with an autumnal touch. But a wonderful berry-like scent. Now I have hung up their flowers to dry.
