Hi all the happy people here in GrowDiaries. And hello to you who read my diary, I just want to say that I am pleased that you have chosen to check in with me and in my diary. I do this for myself and for a steady flow of my medicine. Everything you read and see in my diary is 100% honest and I will never distort or beautify anything here. I document my crops so that I can learn from my mistakes and also to look back at those different crops. I try to update with pictures every day and with text if something special has happened in the garden. This is my strainhunt for the best medicine and the beginning of my journey with cannabis and the cultivation of it. This is my second feminised cultivation ever. First, I'm just going to say something about my grow room. The room is 2.14 meters by 1.7 meters and has a ceiling height of 2 meters. It provides a floor area of ​​3.6 square meters. I use a 54 Watt Lightwawe T5 for germination and 2 Pcs 400 Watt HPS lamps for bloom. I have a channel fan that replaces the room air about 40 times an hour to get a comfortable environment in the room, the air enters a fresh air intake from the outside. The air is purified through a carbon filter to then leave the room to the rest of the basement. Then I use that heat to heat the rest of the basement. I will use 15 liter Autopots to grow with and a 100 liter water tank that supplies the pots of water and nutrition. I will grow completely organically in soil and will watercure my buds to get the best possible medicine for me. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This new strain combines two well-received parents, Juanita la Lagrimosa (Spanish for "Juanita the Tearful") and Royal Highness, which are themselves genetic hybrids of other precursor strains: Juanita the Tearful from Queen Mother and a Mexican-Afghan blend; Royal Highness from Dance Hall and Respect 13. On and on the strains date back in agricultural time, each new variety with its own unique smell, taste, color, high and medical benefit. However, in the past decade, a goal of all this tinkering has been what some producers are starting to call “Royal Respect” with the soul of marijuana's benefits going toward both body and mind. Painkiller XL is notable for its near-equal representation of 6 percent tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and 7 percent cannabidiol (CBD), achieved by a seed that's 70 percent sativa and 30 percent indica. While the sativa variety of cannabis is widely known for producing more of a mental, cerebral high, and indica has a reputation for contributing more toward its physical high, other factors are more important to consider: THC is the compound given most of the credit for that head high, with CBD takes the credit for marijuana's many proven medicinal benefits, which range vastly from relieving pain, anxiety, migraines, fibromyalgia and even mad cow disease to easing many of the most deleterious symptoms of AIDS, diabetes, epilepsy and Parkinson's disease. These are just a handful of the dozens of ailments marijuana is being prescribed to combat by doctors across the globe and in more than a dozen U.S. states. Cooperatives at medical marijuana dispensaries have been at the forefront of providing CBD-rich cannabis buds and oils for their patients, who undoubtedly appreciate being able to purchase the strain best-suited to ease their particular ailments. This new strain joins others rich in both CBD and THC like Euphoria, Royal Medic, Medical Mass and Danceworld that seek to actually not necessarily downplay cannabis' psychoactive effects in favor of optimizing its healing role, but instead equalize the two. According to the California-based Steep Hill Cannabis Analysis Laboratory, this equalization brings to the cannabis user not just the physically healing aspects, but also the spiritually and psychologically healing benefits as well. There are other strains with very little THC and more CBD than Painkiller XL , but rare are such splendid balances. Producers of this strain say it produces a considerable amount of pain relief, with a mild, relieving mental euphoria. With a flowering time of eight weeks, the Painkiller XL seed can produce 525 to 575 grams per plant indoors. Inside, the dried yield is 400 to 450 grams per plant. Inside, the plants average in height at about 31.5 inche (80 cm); outside, the average height is about 53 inches (135 cm), with harvest time at the end of September. Day 107 - Day late and a dollar short on my Update! :P Haven't added any new nutes...just topping up with water on the current base and then will flush around Thursday. The Cookies Kush all look done...pistils been brown and shrunk for days now. The Purple punch still showing a lot of white pistils though and its the oldest of the 4 plants and should be done the quickest (Per Barneys Flower Time Expectations). Am well over the 8 weeks now and will play the flush by ear, like I say, expecting Thursday for a 4 day flush in Hydro but may stretch the current nutes out the end week to see if the Punch Browns (It is fox-tailing slightly...but this can be expected with Purple strains). Apart from that, nothing else to do but wait til harvest! :) Also, have to note...can't say I have sen an increase in frosting using the 10K bulb from where they were before I introduced it a week ago but could be something that's been that gradual, its really been unnoticeable! What I have noticed with it is Cola Leaves starting to Pray, so they're getting some light intensity without bleaching or burning so it has done something...if its beneficial, I can't really say!

December 2nd: Week 6 has started, hopefully last week of veg, defoliating, started feeding Sweet Candy, reducing humidity... more to come Tuesday night and it's end of week 6 or day 42, they are doing well, about 16 inches tall and bushy but I feel like another week of veg wouldn't hurt, hoping to get them all around 18 inches tall before I flip Comments and likes appreciated, stay high

15/01/22: Everything is looking good and as it should - the plants are really showing their sativa genes super tall for the 10liter pots. the largest is 43 inches high with the rest of them an average of 36 inches high. Defoliated a few days ago with the lower fan leaves to promote concentration on the buds. the sites are very bright green and showing good signs of pistils developing.

So only 2cm vertical growth this week..... But she got a lot bushier!

Woche 14 – Urlaub? Die Buddha kennt das Wort nicht. 🌴🌿 Eigentlich sollte diese Woche ganz entspannt werden. Koffer gepackt, 10 Tage Türkei, Sonne, Meer und abschalten. Zumindest für mich. Meine Laughing Buddha hatte da allerdings ganz andere Pläne. 😄 Bevor es losging, bekam sie noch einmal 8 Liter Wasser, der 40-Liter-Topf wurde zuvor noch mit frischer Erde aufgefüllt und anschließend hieß es: “Bis in zehn Tagen.” Zum Glück hängt inzwischen eine Kamera im Growroom. So kann ich jeden Tag kurz nach dem Rechten sehen. Es ist schon verrückt, wie beruhigend so eine kleine Kamera sein kann, wenn man hunderte Kilometer entfernt am Pool sitzt. 😅 Da ich diese Woche natürlich keine Fotos machen konnte, gibt es diesmal einen kleinen Zeitraffer der Hobbit-Cam, damit ihr trotzdem verfolgen könnt, wie sich die Lady in meiner Abwesenheit entwickelt. 📹🌿 ⸻ Das zweite Netz erwacht zum Leben Eigentlich hatte ich gehofft, dass die Triebe während meines Urlaubs langsam bis zum zweiten Netz wachsen. Die Buddha hatte offenbar andere Vorstellungen. Schon wenige Tage nach meiner Abreise schoben sich die ersten Spitzen durch das obere Netz. Mit jedem weiteren Tag kamen neue dazu. Genau so hatte ich mir das vorgestellt. Ich wollte vor dem Urlaub bewusst nicht noch einmal trainieren oder auslichten. Die Pflanze sollte einfach wachsen dürfen – ohne zusätzlichen Stress. Im Nachhinein war das genau die richtige Entscheidung. Die Triebe entwickeln sich gleichmäßig, die Höhe bleibt erstaunlich homogen und die Fläche wird immer geschlossener. Genau diese gleichmäßige Krone wird mir nach dem Urlaub das Verteilen im zweiten Netz deutlich erleichtern. ⸻ Grow aus der Ferne Es fühlt sich immer noch etwas ungewohnt an, einen Grow komplett aus der Ferne zu begleiten. Normalerweise stehe ich täglich im Growroom, kontrolliere jede Spitze und freue mich über jeden Zentimeter Wachstum. Dieses Mal bleibt mir nur der Blick auf die Kamera – und genau das macht dieses Update irgendwie besonders. Umso schöner ist es zu sehen, dass die Buddha ihren eigenen Plan verfolgt und offensichtlich bestens zurechtkommt. ⸻ Wie geht es weiter? Noch ein paar Tage Urlaub. Bis dahin heißt es für die Buddha nur eines: Wachsen. Nach meiner Rückkehr wartet dann der wahrscheinlich spannendste Abschnitt der gesamten Vegetationsphase: * alle Triebe sauber im zweiten Netz verteilen, * unterhalb gründlich auslichten, * der Pflanze ein paar Tage Erholung gönnen * und anschließend endlich den Wechsel in die Blüte einleiten. Ich habe das Gefühl, dass sich die vielen kleinen Entscheidungen der letzten Wochen langsam auszahlen. Und wenn ich die Entwicklung über die Kamera sehe, freue ich mich jetzt schon darauf, die Tür zum Growroom wieder zu öffnen. Ich glaube, die Laughing Buddha nutzt meinen Urlaub mindestens genauso gut wie ich. 🍀🌿

An interesting strain. From the very beginning, it handled everything really well, even though I managed to stunt it with nutrients at one point. Thankfully, it recovered and bounced back nicely. Unfortunately, because I was away, I wasn’t able to take any photos before harvest. For plants grown in 10L pots, they became genuinely huge trees, which you can tell from the size of the root system. One plant was harvested two weeks earlier than the other. I’ll add photos of the buds after drying and curing (if there’s anything left by then 😅). Overall, I can definitely recommend this strain. It grows like crazy and the final result is very satisfying. The potency is certainly higher than what the breeder claims on the website. Unfortunately, I have no way to verify that scientifically, so you’ll just have to take my word for it. 😅🌱🔥

Grow Report — Nectar Drip GrowDiaries Week 10 (Actual Week ~6–7 from Seed) First things first, a small clarification for anyone following the diary closely. On GrowDiaries this report appears as Week 10, but in reality the plants are around week 6–7 from seed. The reason is simple: the first entry in the diary was created during germination and no photos were uploaded at that moment, so the timeline shifted a little on the platform. So for accuracy: plants are currently around week 6–7 from seed and well into early flower. Now let’s talk about what has been happening. ⸻ Quick Recap For anyone just arriving to the diary, here’s the short version of the journey so far. The goal of this run has always been simple: grow healthy plants, observe them carefully, and share the process honestly. The environment has been kept stable and relatively simple: • 12/12 from seed • balanced feeding schedule • steady environmental control • minimal intervention unless the plants ask for it Up until now we mostly focused on guiding growth and observation, allowing the plants to express themselves naturally while keeping the canopy organized. And they are doing exactly that. ⸻ This Week — The Garden Is Exploding This week the girls are looking absolutely incredible. Structure is strong. Color is perfect. Leaf health is excellent. And the most exciting part: trichomes are already everywhere. Even at this stage the plants are starting to sparkle. Resin production is clearly ramping up and the flowers are stacking beautifully. Height is now roughly around one meter to a little over one meter, creating a very healthy canopy without stretching out of control. Honestly, these are beautiful specimens and a joy to watch develop. ⸻ Defoliation — Why We Did It Now This week we performed a targeted defoliation. This was not done because the plants were struggling or because something was wrong. We did it by choice and by timing. The reasoning is simple: It is often easier and less stressful to remove certain leaves earlier in flower rather than waiting until the canopy becomes dense and airflow becomes restricted. So we removed only what was necessary to: • improve light penetration • increase air movement inside the canopy • reduce future humidity pockets • allow the flowers to develop in a more open environment Nothing aggressive. Nothing excessive. Just removing leaves that were clearly blocking key flower sites. This kind of intervention is always a balance. Different growers prefer different approaches, but in this case it felt like the right moment to open the canopy a bit. Now we observe how the plants respond. ⸻ First Structural Training This week also marks the first time we applied some stronger structural training to these girls. Until now the plants were mostly guided and allowed to develop naturally. At this stage we introduced a bit more direction to the structure so the canopy develops evenly and future flower sites receive better light exposure. Again, nothing extreme. The idea is simply to help the plant organize itself for the next weeks of flowering. The real feedback from this will come in the next report, where we will see how they react. ⸻ Environmental Conditions The room is currently running around: Temperature: ~28°C Relative Humidity: ~68% Outside conditions at the moment are: ~10°C with about 87% humidity Considering the outside environment, we are actually very happy with how stable the room is staying. But one thing worth mentioning: We don’t chase room VPD numbers too aggressively. What really matters is leaf VPD and plant response. Plants tell the truth much better than charts do. Right now the plants look extremely happy: • strong leaves • no stress signals • steady growth • excellent resin development So the environment is clearly working for them. ⸻ Nutrients Feeding remains exactly the same for now. No changes this week. The current nutrient schedule continues to support healthy growth and there is no reason to modify something that is clearly working. Sometimes the best move in the garden is simply: don’t change what isn’t broken. ⸻ Introducing a New Team Member This week we also officially welcomed a new member to the team: Mr. Baggy. He has already been making appearances around the garden and many of you may have spotted him in some of the photos. He’s now officially part of the crew and helping around the studio and garden. Things are coming along great, iv done a few autos before but never a bunch like this. So far just ph'd water and hi brix mollasses to feed the microbes in the soil. I also do a little dash of the npk grow just to make sure they have what they need :D (video is 5 days after pics)

With this being my fourth grow...I’ve realized the best way to germinate cannabis seeds is by sprinkling it in the Grow medium and just watering daily...let seed sink as opposed to letting it soak in water which worked for me before but it takes away the dangers of transferring the seeds from a glass of water to soil. 1 year ago this January I germinated my first grow and I had a good harvest because of the dry season stepping in the Caribbean...I am definitely looking forward to a fine grow with some males and females so I can expand my seed storage.
