Aug 16: Lemon Cream Kush has stretched a bit and the buds are starting to fill in. Should be a decent yield and I’m looking forward to the tast of this one.

Week four of the bonsai mother project. This was the week I targetted to begin removing the sheath and exposing the roots. I plan to begin that process in the coming days. Day 23 - Photographed. I've been watering this girl tap water only, at the moment she has enough nutes in the medium, however I expect this to soon change. Her roots have protruded out of the bottom of the lower pot, as you can see from the video. Day 26 - Removed the sheath and revealed the roots and object they are growing over. I am not unhappy with these roots, I think I can work with them. I had to temporarily add a zip tie to hold her in place. P.S. Follow me on X! @unorthadoxdude

She's looking very nice at the moment,seems to be enjoying and she's recovering so quickly.hope she gets big enough before flower starts which is gonna be a little complicated but it's Okey,she's a beautiful genetic,very strong, she's being fed 100% organically with bacteria,lactobacillus,bat guano, seaweed powder without any chemical substances. Week 3 update, so far so good. Observed both plants have shot up in height exponentially roughly 4 to 6 inches between both of them. The larger one has essentially taken 3/4 of the tent surface area and is growing rapidly with tons of bud sights appearing. the smaller one is showing good growth as well but has essentially been outcompeted overall. both are growing tons of hair and there smell characteristics are pretty different overall. I'm sure they'll only get more pungent. the one on the left has more of a catpissy lemon thing going on and the big one is like pine, sweet, limes. Pictures will show smaller one appears more green. I've noticed yellowing on the lower foliage of the one plant around mid week and after speaking with a fellow companion I've decided to stop dropping ph to 5.8 and really just focus at 6.0. I've also started using sturdy stalk after considering the benefits and raised the light around 4 inches. No complaints so far

May have been using too much nitrogen as there's still lots of leaf growth. Going to try reduce levels of N and increase the ratios of P and K and hope the plant starts focusing it's energy on budding!

As you can see from the third picture on day 29 she is looking a little ugly and unkept. I'm not sure if this is a normal thing or something I need to take action on. Advice would be great. So day 30 rolling around. Decided I had to try LST again. She felt more receptive to being bent over today as well. I mainly had to attempt it for space reasons. With the current covid panic all the markets where I buy my buckets from are closed and I can't procure a new one to increase my height for probably a couple of weeks at this rate so LST was my only option. She seems to have taken well to it and I will upload a finished picture of her shortly. Day 32, watered and fed her. 500ml of water plus .3ml each of fox farm trio. Hoping to see her perk up a bit. Concerned about the large brown spot on one of her leaves which made me think she was having a deficiency? Probably a bit early to worry about buds fattening up also but I am worried they are looking a bit airy at the moment on the non main cola sites. I'm not sure if my LST was effective at tricking her into trying to have more than one top cola? Day 33. No noticeable gains today, at least to my eyes. I can spot a little nute burn perhaps but hopefully nothing too serious. Looks like a cola that isn't the original top is starting to fill out just as much, if not more, than the original top though. Hoping they all catch up at a similar pace to each other and reduce the pop corn nug potential! Day 35. She has shown a few more bud sites since last post. I am worried that she is going to produce a fair bit of larf/popcorn bud and wanted to know how to get rid of that? I am not confident to remove any growth without knowing for sure it has a beneficial impact on the overall health of the plant and the final results. Any advise is appreciated. She also seemed a bit thirsty to me. The leaves were feeling a bit thin and dry so I gave her 1L of water with .7ml each of fox farm trio. Hopefully she responds well. I will check her in an hour or so to see if the leaves are starting to point back up - fingers crossed.

This strain really impressed me and cant wait to start one in a 3 gal pot to see her full potential. For only being grown in a 1 gallon pot she produced a whopping 510 grams after being wet trimmed and should pull over a quarter pound once dried. buds smelly very sweet with a hint of some funk

Clock changed to 12h and scrog installed yesterday. Light adjusted to 45 LUX One plant needs more nutes than the rest but as I have a main rez I need the same formula for all so either I underfeed one or overfeed the rest.

After 48 hrs darkness I've finally trimmed buds to prep for hanging. Plant 1 .82kg wet weight Plant 2 .88kg wet weight Plant 3 .77kg wet weight Total wet weight incl stems 2.47kg or 2470g Equate to 5.438 lbs wet weight. I can't wait to see dry weight. I'll be happy with half loss in water.

Pests seem to be under control with use of trifecta and insecticidal soap. Applied 1 cup of Jobes organic fertilizer to 5 gallon pots and 2 cups of Jobes organic fertilizer to the plant in 15 gallon container. All plants receive at least 1 gallon of water every other day and 15 gallon plant receives around 2-3 gallons of water every other day depending on rain and soil touch/feel. Decided to grow a bagseed I found of gelato x GMO. While in seedling stage a chipmunk or squirrel tried to bury its stash in the soil and bent the stem over 90 degrees. I taped it up with some medical tape and it bounced right back, which is the picture I have now.
