This week marked a pivotal shift in our lighting strategy, as we nudged the PPFD values from a modest 250-350 up to an assertive 450-500. This increase is designed to optimize the light intensity during this critical phase of growth, catering to the heightened demands of our flowering beauties. Our nutrient regime has been meticulously fine-tuned to accommodate the changing needs of our Epic Buzz varieties. The switch from Alga Grow to Alga Bloom signifies our plants' transition from vegetative growth to flowering, ensuring they receive the ideal nutrient profile for bud development. Welcome to week 8 of my grow diary. This week we had really good weather. Due to the high temperatures the soil dried out quickly so I had to water 8 litres almost every day instead of every 2 days. The plant was defoliated 3 times this week. The aphids were successfully controlled with neem oil. See you next week ✌️

Gorilla Cookies is at about 10 weeks now. A surprisingly small plant but still looks like it will be a couple of zip. Buds are quite frosty and I'm getting lots of autumn colours. Maybe another week see how she goes.

Still going… since I got some positive feedback, I made a video. I think this helps so much imagining the size of the space! Daughter is doing great… cozy environment! Hello Growmies, As we observe the growth in week 15, I'm filled with both anticipation and awe. She continues her impressive swell, and new white hairs have emerged, suggesting that the end of January might be too soon for harvest. The delicate balance of maturity is playing out before us, as the first few trichomes take on an amber coloration, signaling the onset of peak ripeness. There's a noticeable increase in her aromatic presence – she's getting louder, so to speak, filling the space with her potent scent. A beautiful fade is underway; the lower canopy leaves have turned a bright yellow and are gracefully falling away, a natural progression as she directs her energy to the buds. These, in turn, are taking on a striking purple hue, which is becoming more pronounced day by day. Each day brings a change, a new layer of complexity to her form. The way she's maturing, the hues she's revealing, and the scents she's exuding all contribute to the feeling that she's one of the most remarkable plants I've grown. Her feeding remains consistent at 4 liters of nutrient solution every four days, sustaining her through this critical phase. The light spectrums continue at full capacity, and she seems to savor every photon that falls upon her. With new growth still apparent, I'm considering adjusting the harvest timeline. Patience is key, as is careful observation of her trichomes and overall health. We're entering what may be the final stretch, but only time will tell. The yellowing of her leaves, the purpling of her buds, and the sweet, loud fragrance she's giving off are all signs of a successful grow coming to fruition. This week has gone fine except for one thing which I’ll come to later on. Still stretching, canopy par level is 900 on average and I don’t have any way of getting the lights up further. Hoping the intense light will slow the stretch down a bit but we will have to wait and see. Worst case I’ll have to dim the lights down a bit. That leads me onto the mystery of this week. The nearly dead plant. I have no idea why it has gone so limp. You can kind of see on the photo lapse how quickly it collapses. Incase it’s some kind of disease I’ll give it another day in there. If it doesn’t recover I’ll have to pull her out and try to train the other plants over her empty spot so I don’t waste any light. EC is around 1.2-1.5 atm, the highest dose I’ll be giving them will be week 4 and 5 of flower when the buds seem to do the most weight gains (visually). Canopy is actually quite even if you overlook the hole in the canopy, maybe a couple inches between highest and lowest. Anyway, thanks for checking in guys, if anyone has any thoughts/comments about the dead plant let me know as I’m struggling to find answers online. 😊

Definitely behind in my journalism… big surprise there. I never could keep up with it. I blame it on purchasing my first trailer and camping all the times From what I remember this is the week I started to see pistols. One plant started to develop some mottling. Didn’t do much to change it, just kept on with the nutrients and it seemed to grow out of it quickly.
