Week 9 - First Week of Flowering 🌸 The dark period has ended, and these ladies came back into the light fully energized and ready for action! It’s just the first week of flower, and they’re all praying, stretching, and absolutely thriving—filling up every inch of the tent. This grow space is officially packed from wall to wall, with each plant competing for its share of light and showing off some of the biggest, healthiest leaves I’ve seen yet! 🌱 A few strategic plucks here and there have kept airflow smooth and light penetration balanced. Those big leaves? They’re a sign of happy, healthy growth. Large leaves help the plant capture maximum light energy, essential during this stage, especially as they start focusing on developing those flowers. When plants grow huge, vibrant leaves like these, it means they’re well-nourished and content in their environment—a true testament to the well-balanced conditions we’ve got going in the tent! Flowering Parameters 🌡️ Room Environment: • Temperature: 26.7°C • Humidity: 63.3% • CO2: 960 ppm • VPD: 1.29 kPa (prime zone for flowering health!) Lighting: • Light Intensity: 835 PPFD (ideal for boosting flower growth) • Solution: pH 5.96, TDS 460 ppm, temp 21.1°C • Medium: Moisture: 100%, TDS: 520 ppm, Temp: 21.6°C Carbon Filter Installation & Smell Management 🌬️🌱 With the transition to flower, the scent profile is already starting to kick in—crazy for the first week, right? 🌸 To keep everything fresh and under wraps, I’ve set up a carbon filter system. Here’s how it’s working: I’ve connected the filter to my Aerofan, which pulls air directly from the tent. This air is cleaned by the filter and released into the main room, where it then passes through another filter before exiting my space. This dual-filter setup means no scent escapes into the wild, keeping things stealthy and the grow room a peaceful, scent-contained environment. Perfect for anyone concerned about keeping their home free from that telltale aroma! 🕶️🌬️ Enhanced Lighting with Emerson Effect 🌞 This week, I’ve introduced an extra 15 minutes of red light at the beginning and end of each light cycle. Why? Well, this red boost taps into the Emerson effect, enhancing photosynthesis efficiency, especially during the flowering stage. By stimulating a little extra wake-up and wind-down light, we’re mimicking the natural sunrise and sunset experience for these plants, which can help reduce flowering time. Not only does it encourage smoother transitions into day and night, but in theory, it’ll help these ladies finish a bit faster, while giving them a little nudge to build more substantial, quality flowers. 🌇 Nutrient Adjustments 🌱 Now that we’re in flower, I’ve swapped out the Start Booster for P-Boost and TopBooster to specifically support flowering needs. Here’s why: • P-Boost brings in additional phosphorus, vital for energy transfer and cell division as the plant channels more resources into budding sites. • TopBooster supports the flowering phase by improving flower quality and density, helping to build those big, aromatic buds we’re after. At one time, as a lover of a good "head bang", I was only interested in a high-quality head-bearing, dense and sofa. Oh, this OG, ma Donna... ...and what do you think, Ma Boy!?😎😛

July 20: smoke arrived this morning to go with our heat wave. Awesome. Extra watering, misting air, and wetting the sides of the grow bags with hose water to keep things cooler and hydrated. So far so good in the heat. Did foliar spray of Extreme Blend and potassium silicate. Also note that for all my grows I use apple cider vinegar for pH adjustment and a Dr Bronners liquid soap as a wetting agent (surfactant). Euphoria is doing great, but to ensure that it finishes early enough for this latitude (53N) where the UV light gets very weak after mid-August, I’m starting the force flowering tonight. Already starting to flower but I want a strong flower set and as much flower growth under strong sunlight as possible. Force flowering schedule is 2-3 weeks of in dark garage at 9 pm followed by 730 nm far red light and then back out at 7 am. The light initiates dark mode 2 h faster so it’s like having a 26 h day. Good trick use as a bloom booster, also moves up the finish 2-4 weeks. So, 10+2 is 12 h dark and 14 h daylight. Might sound bogus but it works. July 21: first night of force flowering caused a big stretch. Notably stretched after darkness in hot garage overnight. Hot outside overnight too but was much hotter inside garage and recorded here as 24 C. Seems okay and high overnight temperature might be ideal at this early flowering stage. Warm overnight temperatures continue for a few more days. July 22: record hot overnight low forecast for tonight of 24 C and feels like 27 C with humidity. Wow, that is really incredible for here and 13 C above historic average. July 26: six days into flowering and she is doing fine. 👍👍

Hey now, hope everyone is having a great weekend and staying safe. Another great week for the ladies, as they are now about 2 weeks into flower, and the stretch is winding down. I am still feeding them silica, cal mag, and flower nutrients maxi bloom by GHE. I will start to add a PK booster this week. I also will be switching to light from V1 to F1 sometime this week, and also integrating the UV/IR bar into the light cycle later this week. I will run the UV/IR bar for approximately 30 minutes prior to lights off to get started. The 5X5 is really starting to fill up nicely, I am running two dehumidifiers outside of the tent and I am able to maintain around 50% RH in the tent during lights on, and around 55% RH with lights off. Still very happy with the Spectrum X from Medic Grow. I am running her at 90% in the V1 cycle and will be transitioning to the F1 cycle later this week. Overall, the plants seem very happy and healthy. The temperature and humidity is significantly dropping so that helps keeping the tent cool and not overly humid. This is by far the best time of year to be flowering plants in my region. Tropicana flowers 🌞☀️🌤️🌦️🌧️ Plant is 15 cm high because of low stress training. The length is 31 cm. Day 36: Sun is shining, 15-23 degrees, high humidity. Tropicana gets two liters of pure rainwater. Spend the day in my veggie garden working. In the evening I brought some 🐞for Tropicana because I spottet a few lice. My mood changes drastically as I find spider mites eggs, first and second stadium. Don‘t overthink that and decide to defoliate the plant immediately. I prepare a tee out of the leaves which brings fast relaxation. My mood is much better now. Day 37 In the morning with better light I find more spider mites and decide to wash the plant with rainwater. Can‘t find after any more of these little killer dwarfs. I decide to bring more beetles and check the leafs more often. Temperature is felling under 20 degrees, it‘s raining and the humidity is 87%. Day 38 In the early morning I couldn‘t find any mites on Tropicana. Got to continue controlling this in the next weeks regular. I‘m sure they are still there somewhere hidden in a dark spot. 🌦️ 13 - 21 degrees and humidity is around 60-70%. Day 39 🌦️🌧️ Very rainy day. Just let Tropicana enjoy life and tie down the top one more time. 🐞 stay since some days. One on every plant. I think the mites are a result of their start inside and no hygiene at all. Have the same with my peppers some years. 14 - 21 degrees, humidity around 84% Day 40 🌧️☁️🌤️☀️15 degrees, humidity 83% We listen to Roots Reggae, Tropicana is happy and quite busy with producing new roots, I guess. Don‘t understand when to stop low stress training. I think it’s enough now. She needs a rest. Day 41 🌧️⛈️🌧️🌧️ 15 - 19 degrees, humidity up to 89% We had rainfall today around 65 liters of water. I collected enough of it for the next weeks. Day 42 ☀️ 6 - 23 degrees. Humidity is falling. Tropicana enjoys the morning sun while she drinks and drinks and drinks…. Coffee. 😅

Day94: wedding glue is almost done, i noticed some new growth so I delayed the harvest a bit Gorilla Z got a bit of defoliation and needs more time to mature. Maybe 2 weeks Chop day! Wedding glue after 97 days went down. Super excited to see the final result

Growing well for her first week of life. Planted straight into her 20L airpot with new compost. No perlite added.

After the disaster with germinating the expert seeds Gorrillas, I was a bit disheartened, was so looking forward to them. But we just follow up strong by planting a Dutch Passion Skywalker Haze instead. Will be starting that diary this week, lets hope she germinates. And it looks like we might be lucky, one tiny seedling came up from the 5 expert seeds, looks like a bit of a runt now and doesnt grow as fast as the Dutch Passion Orange Hill Special. I wil put another Orange Hill in the tent if this doesnt work out. Last week was a hot week and rising temperatures inside and out of the tent, I decided to to remove the driver from the SP-3000 and put it outside of the tent. This light looks even sleeker and sexier this way. Also a dream to deinstall, 5 minutes. But my victory last week was my invention of my custom top down oscillating fan. Which comprises of a standing oscillating towerfan, hung horizontal by just making a little hole in the foot and hanging it sideways. It works like a charm. The tower has optional oscillation so I can choose to just cool the light or sway through the entire tent. Very happy with that and still very happy with the light by @MarsHydroLED, thanks so much. wow wow !!!! 404 gr ! from the suitcase!!!!!!!258 gr of wet dried buds!!!!!!! I am impressed with the result, and I don't really believe that I will ever be able to improve it :) It was a truly amazing journey with FastBuds Gorilla cookies auto, my house is filled with a wonderful sweet smell, the buds look really full and very very shiny :) I also collected a lot of sugar leaves from which I will make bubble hash:) the girl coped with high temperatures and high humidity throughout her growth, which is why I was afraid of rot, but everything went well!!!! She is amazing. smoke review and dry weight will be up very soon, good luck to everyone :)!!!

La croissance des fleurs on considérablement ralenti cette semaine. Par contre je vois par les branches qui commencent à plier qu'elle continue à prendre beaucoup de poids. Let’s Go Day 67 from seed !! So this week went real great! 2 Ogreberrys an Bruce Banner started getting flushed! The rest will follow up and start flush next week ! Today the 3 will continue getting flushed while the 3 others get there dose of nutrients, PHd at 6.5! Let’s grow lil ladies let’s grow!!! Starting week 3 with a plain watering at 6.31. All plants recovered well from topping and are starting to grow much faster. Looking healthy and strong! Planning on some light lower defoliation early this week to get the bottom leaves off the soil. Still very short and bushy. 08/05/2020 - Watered at 6.31 all conditions remaining stable. (Pics) 08/06/2020 - Defoliated the bottom 3 sets of fan leaves. 08/06/2020 - Used green twist ties to begin LST the main branches (Pics) 08/06/2020 - Watered at 6.51 with added nutrients 7 ml between 2L. 08/08/2020 - Took a few more leaves from 3 of the 4 and adjusted tie downs, left 1 alone as she seemed unimpressed with the first defoliation. 08/10/2020 - Watered at 6.49 with added nutrients. 5 ml per 2L. 08/11/2020 - Final transplant into 7 gallon pots, All 4 had solid root growth and were starting to be root bound. I'm glad I did not wait any longer. 08/11/2020 - Watered post transplant with Plain water at 6.43 Used 4L between 4 plants.

Getting very close to the end now, lowering my night temps has definatley made the buds more dense, will be feeding her nutrients this week and start the flush from next week, unfortunately I’ve just realised the water pump was the case for my reservoir to be heating up, so I’ve probably messed up it’s nutrient intake, so my next runtz muffin run will most probably be a lot better
