~ FASTBUDS TESTER #2202 ~ Well friends, here we go on another 'canna-venture' together! The grow room has had a complete remodel and some upgrades done to it including brand spanking new 4x8 and 4x4 tents and a Trolmaster Hydro X controller along with a new Control Panel. This tester strain is one of six tester strains that FastBuds has graciously provided me with and I'm looking forward to seeing what this girl has to offer when she's grown to her full potential! One drawback of 'testers' is I have little to no information on it other than its number and that it's an autoflower... 🤪 But, it's ALWAYS a blast growing them for me because not knowing a lot allows me to just concentrate on the essentials: Light, Environment, Water, Nutrients and possibly a bit of LST... not complicated, just basics like keeping a constant temperature and RH in the tent at a level that gives a good VPD, watering when almost dry and maintaining proper light levels according to their stage of growth. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ ~THE SETUP~ ~Initially seeds were lightly scuffed, then soaked for 3 hours in 78℉ distilled water after which they were transferred to moist paper towels laid out in a Jiffy Pellet plastic starter tray with lid. Underneath the tray was placed a Vivosun Heat Mat with Controller that was set to 78℉ where they stayed until their tap roots emerged. ~Planted into Jiffy Peat Pellets that were hydrated with distilled water warmed to 78℉ with a 7.0 ph. ~Once roots emerge from the Jiffy Pellet they're transferred to their fabric pots. ~Grown 100% organic in a 4g Gronest fabric pot and a 3g fabric pot by Wraxly filled with Mother Earth 70/30 Coco/Perlite medium and initially amended with Dr. Earth 4-4-4 / Earthworm Castings / Dr. Earth Flower Girl 3-9-4 and Coast of Maine Stonington Blend Organic Plant Food 5-2-4. ~19/5 light cycle for the entire run with supplemental UVA added during flower. Lights are controlled by a Trolmaster Hydro X controller set for a 15min Sunrise/Sunset simulation. ~Top dressing every 3-4 weeks with slow release dry amendments and Earthworm castings. ~Straight water ph'd @ 6.2-6.8 when needed and bi-weekly Compost Tea's. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Weekly Updates: 12/15- Here we go into the second week of veg for the FastBuds Tester #2202 girls and they're on a roll! The #1 tester has developed some discoloration on her leaf tips which tells me she's a bit sensitive to my amendment concentrations so remember to go very light on the nutrients when you start out! I'll keep an eye on her but really am not too concerned at this time. When I checked on them today they both were still moist so I let them go until I check them tomorrow. Basically at this point in the run all I have to do is make sure they don't dry out, fill the humidifier and watch them grow! 12/17- Yesterday I watered them both and increased the amount to roughly 0.25g each of de-chlorinated water with 3ml/g of Botanicare Silica Blast (added to begin to help strengthen their branches) and then ph'd to 6.4 @ 74℉. I've also increased the output of the HLG 650R's to 35% which equates to about 230w at the wall which, of course has raised the temp's in the tent so I've also begun to run the A/C unit in the grow room which is keeping the temp's now at 75℉ in the tent. The RH is running around 75-78% RH giving a VPD of .67-.74 which I'll take! 😁👍 Other than what I've mentioned above, all I did was fill the humidifier with distilled water and watched my girls grow! 🤩 12/19- Today I watered them each with 0.25g of de-chlorinated water to which I added 3ml/g Fish Head Farms Fish Sh!t and 1 tsp/g Unsulfured Molasses which I then ph'd to 6.3 @ 74℉. I'm now watering through the bottom, filling the drip pan and letting the plant draw up the water into itself. I am also watering from the top, but only just enough to moisten the medium. They're really starting to take off now, a sure sign their roots are beginning to get well developed. Their 4th set of leaves have emerged and I'm thinking over topping them in the next day or so. 12/21- Well, yesterday I went ahead and topped the #2 Tester #2202 taking off the 5th leaf set. Hopefully she won't stress out over this and starts shooting out those secondary branches. I left the #1 alone as she's not quite as vigorous as the #2. I may not top the #1 as a sort of comparison to see how each grows out. Today I watered them both with 0.25g of straight de-chlorinated water each which was ph'd to 6.3 @ 74℉. I gave about 3/4 of it into their drip pans so they can draw it up into their medium, the rest I applied to the top of their medium just to moisten it. Well there's two weeks of veg behind us now, Week Three of vegetation is beginning and they should really start to take off! 😍👍 😎💚 Thank you for checking out my passion in life! Week 9! We're reaching the home stretch! I defoliated "J", heavily and super cropped her taller tops. She also is the only one to receive nutrients. The crop is still pretty hefty, so we'll water them 🌞 tomorrow. "J" is happy in her space and is content staying in Veg, indefinitely. I don't have the requirements to flip her into Flower and won't for quite some time, growing Photoperiods was not in the setup or budget. There is still no smell to speak of, except when you manipulate her, she gives off a citrus, pine aroma. This grow has been fairly easy going so far, no real issues to report. July 29, 2021, Thursday. I watered the crop thoroughly and rotated them. The girls (other than "J") are watered with pH'd tap water, that fluctuates between 6.2 & 6.4. July 30, 2021, Friday. Girls are chillin'. I'm really having a BLAST! I knew I was going to love cannabis cultivation, but this is something else. I've taken to it, like a 🦆 duck to water. I can't wait to see what more knowledge and experience will reveal. Anyone that's been on the fence about whether to grow or not, do it. Just go ahead and do it. August 1, 2021, Sunday. I watered the girls today. I moved "J" into the "Veg Desk" and she seems to be adapting to her new environment quite nicely. Freeman's birthday is just days away! Freeman the person, not the plant. As I mentioned earlier in the diary, this grow has been in secret and is a surprise birthday present. Nothing to report. August 3, 2021, Tuesday. Watered the ladies thoroughly.

Had too much nitrogen last week, so I lowered the amount of FloraMicro. What's your thought on my first grow? Trying to learn as much as possible!

The lemon haze has an amazing aroma. A sweet lemon aroma, not a skunky smell with amazing trichomes all over the bud and leaves. I've read this strain can produce purple bud. I do have some purpling leaves. But I think it's due to the fact I draw in outside air to cool my tent to 78 to 84 degrees. It drops to 30 degrees Fahrenheit at night. The white widow has finally entered true flower and has begun to bulk up, and take on it's own aroma profile, while also adding some trichomes to the surrounding leaves. I'm excited to see how these colas begin to look in the coming weeks. This plant should be my largest yielding of the three. I'm expecting an ounce.

Buds are fattening and the smell is a mix of gas, berries and something else funky I cant put my nose on it

Going to try to squeeze a tester meph plant into my inhouse genetics run. Things will be tight! Super excited, this strain sounds delicious! 1/4/22 at 4:20 put bean into paper towel. Checked it 20 hours later and it had cracked with a small tap root. Left it to grow a larger tap root for an additional 24 hours and not much had changed. So I transplanted to its final 2 gallon home. Praying she pokes through in the next day or so!

Day 63 have to harvest day 77 cause have to move house hope they be ready the small ones be ready any day but don’t know about the big ones 🤞 growth continues anyway hopefully fatten up nice by next week

Last week I messed up and put the wrong plants last week. Last week of veg. Flipping everything I to flower as I gotta move and don't wanna move plants to new house

It was a great week for this Sour D pheno. She is really starting to fatten up now and is noticeably different after every dark period in terms of the size of her flowers. She is getting tricky to move to the shower where I normally water so she will likely not move again until she is cut. This makes the watering process more tedious but it is a necessary evil to avoid any unwanted mishaps this late in the game. I already caused her to lean a bit from swaying back and forth carrying her across the room during the last fertigation. The buds still dont have a hugely pronounced smell (like I'd expect from Sour D) or much trichome coverage but I am reassured by the fact that she seems to be a late bloomer and is apparently just starting to take off in terms of flower production. I've only seen a scant number of orange pistils so I think she still has several weeks to go. If she starts to take on that characteristic gassy smell as puts on some frost so I can press her into decent rosin, I'll be more than happy with this run when it's all said and done. This week I just let her stretch.. Normal feeding schedule with no training.. With this strain I would love to test how she does with absolutely no pressure on her..

Over all was an amazing grow, super sticky dense nugs with smell of berries, highly recommended for everyone!!

3/8 (0745): CP weedlings look super happy. Can see the next node starting to develop between the fan leaves! HK and 710 germinating away. 3/8 (1600): Horticultural charcoal was delivered yesterday so I did a little top dress on the seedlings. Gave a light watering too. 3/9 (0730): Second node is coming in quick! Seeds still germinating but expecting to see green tonight or tomorrow AM. 3/9 (2230): CP growing strong, expect the second set of leaves by EOD tomorrow. HK and 710 broke soil over the course of the evening and will be upright by tomorrow morning! Learned from some key mistakes: didn’t water as much, planted the seed deeper so the shell would come off. Feeling good!! 3/10 (1200): HK and 710 seedlings are making their way up today! Had to help the 710 out of the inner seed coating, which was holding the cotyledons together. Both seedlings are open and getting sunlight, everyone's very happy. Both CPs are growing their second node quickly. 3/10 (2245): watered CPs. PH 6.4 going in and 7.1 coming out. Have been misting the HK/710 as needed. 3/12 (0900): watered/misted all. PH. 6.2 going in and 6.4 coming out. Much better. CPs are filling out their 3-bangers and have the start of growth for the fives. Ordered some smart plugs yesterday in the hopes of automating environment control a little.

Day 29 - Checked PPM 720. Water always seems to be low from here on. The plant uses so much daily. Late night PPM check 450. Day 30 - Checked PPM 420. ***WHITE HAIRS ARE SHOWING*** Added 10 mL of CalMag Micro Grow and Bloom. Added 5 mL of each additive plus BIG BUD AND NIRVANA. I dont have bud ignitor and bud factor x or i would have added them as well. PPM is 1,600. Plant is 17 inches tall. Light is 12 inches away from top of plant. PAR/PPFD is around 600 at the tops of the plant. DLI is around 30. Day 31 - Checked PPM 1,080. Plant is 18 inches tall and 24 inches wide. I had to expand the grow area to accommodate the plant. Day 32 - Checked PPM 895. Water is low. Raised the light as some of the leaves was taco shaped. Light is now 18 inches above the plant. Plant is 19 inches tall. Day 33 - Checked PPM 570. Water is low. Added 5 mL of CalMag Micro Grow and Bloom. PPM is 720. Plant is 22 inches tall. Day 34 - Checked PPM 620. Plant is 23 inches tall. Added 5 mL of CalMag Micro Grow and Bloom. Added 2 mL of each additive. PPM is 1,020. Day 35 - Checked PPM 700. Plant is 25 inches tall. Roots are as thick as a pencil. The rootball is massive!.

One step at the time! My plant got a new house. I love this tent! Also it keep the smell inside. Now it’s time to guess if it’s a boy or a girl! I bet for a girl 💖
