This week has been all about shaping the plant. I’ve learned from last that the colas weren’t the same height, because I let the plant do it’s things with just a bit of training. Now I know what to look for so I’m trying my hardest. I top dressed this week with crab meal, Gaia green all purpose 4-4-4, insect frass, kelp meal, bone meal, azomite, and covered it with a healthy serving of worm castings (about an inch to 2 inches). All of which was sprinkled on all the chopped and dropped leaves/branches. I believe in adding biomass to soil, especially for an indoor growing who is money conscious. Doing that can help save me money going back to the store for more soil.

First 10 day

I have been using LST in the form of a fan on medium speed to try and strengthen the main stalk of the plant as well as planter rotation to strengthen the main stalk for tie down LST. So far I've been impressed with the rate of growth and the overall experiment. For what it's worth, the growth wth is very very similar to a hydroponics growth. I'm sure as the experiment continues I'll notice some big differences. It does appear to have either a minor potassium deficiency or a little too much nitrogen. Will monitor and update as needed. The above signs may have been trying to indicate the main stalk was weakening from too much weight from vertical grow rate. This would ultimately lead to a fractured stalk. Is this what happened or is it a fungus or disease problem? Plant C sprouted within 48hrs and will be 6 days behind Plant A. End goal of harvest is still 360g from the two plants combined. Both plants are looking very happy regardless of the toxicity or deficiency. Strong strain nonetheless.

Buds grew nice and strong..acted like a topped auto. There was no real main cola. But, instead there was 5 of near the same height. She didn't grow as expected. But, grew with great vigor. And pushed herself to give quite the bounty. Not a lot. But, what is there is so sticky. Stinky. Very earthy. With a very sweet undertone, can already get the hint of melons or something sweet like that when you grind it. It is an earthy smoke. And no doubt she will truly shine on a 2 month cure. And that's what this small harvest is going. Into the jars for 2 months. I've taken 3g and put it into a small jar, and will give a smoke review on it. After I feel I can justily do so. She glistenings with resin and her trichomes are bountiful. She has a very pungent earthy sweet musk that is lovely. I have vaped a bit. And it was very pleasant. The stone was deep and intense. Like a true indica. She did give a light sativa affect but was quickly washed away with a strong indica body high. 3 months later and the bud developments terpine profile became very potent with a strong pedgiree of a nice melon/earthy/sweet kush. Love this auto. Hey here we go again.. in the pics I explained how to clean the lava rocks but to make it easier I will put them here. LAVA ROCK CLEANING. 1... fill sink with hot water and about a half bottle of hydrogen peroxide . 2 ...dump rocks into sink 3....shake out rocks from roots...I suggest you do this in another sink then add lava rock to other sink..it keeps from adding to many roots to water sink. 4....skim off all roots from top of water...now while the lava rocks sit in the water..clean the buckets. 5...take fitting from buckets and add to a cup filled with hydrogen peroxide let sit 6...clean buckets with hot water and hydrogen peroxide....dry bucket 7...take fittings out of cup clean off and clean inside fittings..then wash off and put back into buckets. 8... use a colander and add lava rock to it and run hot water over the lava rock as you move them around...then add warm..then cold water this will help make the roots brittle and easy to remove...shake off all water. 9...put rocks back into buckets 10 ...set room back up with all new lines... Welcome to my pink rozay x strawberry banana auto diary from original sensible seeds. Veg Days 15-21 Doing well. Have been able to put my RH back up to 70% so expecting much better growth. Hopefully she'll stay in veg for another 2 weeks. But I've yet to have an auto go by 28 Days in veg. Maybe with growth been slow and been started in a big pot she'll grow nice and big. Let's see. She's healthy and I've moved her off onto a new enzyme from Terra Power and took her off the others. Sticking to feeds between 450-550ppm. PH 6.0-2. Base feeds twice a wk. With 1 Epsom salt feed with some cal powder to bring my 110ppm tap to 250-300 and then I also add an enzyme feed that acts also like a follow up water feed. Roughly 4 feeds every 7-9 days, depending breaking base feeds up every 3-4 days. "This will be a common feeding pattern so won't be bringing up much about this again unless adjusted" Have moved most of my plants under my new SP 3000 300w now. Great versatile light. This week they did more stretching as you can see the one on the left is into and above the light! I can't believe this but I'll role with it! I slowly defoliate just a little here and there between watering and filling the humidifiers. They really like to eat! Also, something to note that is they love the humidity as well as the warmth. I had to clean the outside of their grow bags this week. To my surprise the roots are starting to come out the bag! I can't believe it but this is awesome! Now they'll die due to contact with the air, and in return get bigger to take in even more nutrients! As predicted they fell off because their little pieces are on the floor. Well I fed and watered them daily. Like normal whenever I fed them either nutrients or soil amendments I made sure to water the plants with plain pH balanced H2O the next day in order to flush them. Then I would do any soil amendments if needed. After that plain pH balanced H20 and then you could do another fertilizer nutrient for them. After that pH balanced H20 and then you return to the soil amendments if needed.

Today 7/30/19, day 57 and the start of week 9. I'm still continuing to alternate between days with my pesticide treatment (especially after finding that bug living on one of hulkberries fan leaf) and thrive alive green daily foliage spray as a prophylactic solution against any possible pests or mold going into these last few dog days of veg. I will flush them with distilled ph'd water for two days this weekend in preparation for flower. Then I'll start them on some "flower fuel" bloom booster on top of my secret for success flower recipe at 1/4 of the recommended strength. Outside of that still no adverse issue to report for the end of the 8th week. After my last trim, they both have responded very nicely, I was kind of worried about fat banana stalled growth. But one thing I noticed when I topped her at the 6th node, yes the main stem stopped growing but it developed many bud sites up and down every stem. Whereas hulkberry was topped at the 8th node, she has mainly focused on developing long stems and only 2 or 3 bud sites along her stems. Even though hulkberry in structure, is much bigger than fat banana and has a way bigger root system. Fat banana is bushier and has developed way more bud sites than hulkberry. I can't tell which strain will yield the most at this point only time will tell! Also, a big shout out to "J"@RQS, thank you for the excellent customer service. Another reason why Royal Queen Seeds is top 3 in breeding!!
