It's week 9 and all she is presenting all of the beautiful colors of Fall 🍁 as she progresses deeper into senescence! She just seems to get frostier ❄️ by the day and her aroma is reminiscent a of sweet vanilla cake with a hint of kushy funk. I keep checking trichomes, but still not a much amber. Maybe another week or more. Also, I realized my BlueLab Conductivity Meter has the option to switch to EC. Since EC is the most accurate way to measure the nutrient concentration in a solution, I will now be measuring and reporting EC readings rather than PPM. Any advice, suggestions, or constructive criticisms are always welcome. I mixed 6 gallons of solution for all the plants I have running in this SOG. 2 gallons of that was then measured and fed to this cultivar. This week I used some gallon bottles filled with water and frozen to lower temps in the reservoir. 👩‍🔬NUTRIENT SOLUTION👩‍🔬 ⬇️Mixing Rundown⬇️ - The solution starts with 6 gal tap H2O through two kdf filters mixed in a 36 gallon reservoir. The solution is applied via wand sprayer powered by a submersible pump attached to a garden hose. Nutrients and additives are added to the reservoir in the order listed below and thoroughly mixed using a plastic stir spoon. The reservoir is oxygenated by four 4 inch air stones. Day 43 (Second Grow, Flowering Phase): Hey everyone! We’re well into day 43 of our second grow and deep into the flowering phase. 🌸 The transition has been amazing to witness, with our plants showing significant bud development. The plants are producing beautiful, dense buds, and it’s incredible to see the daily changes and the rapid development. We’ve been maintaining the humidity between 50-60%, but we’re keeping a close eye on it to prevent any issues. We’re considering whether to get a dehumidifier to bring it down to the ideal 40-50%. The SCROG net continues to work wonders, ensuring even light distribution and supporting the heavy buds. Our Timor shield mantis is still patrolling the garden, keeping pests at bay naturally. She’s become quite the guardian! The plants are looking healthy and vibrant. We're excited to see how they continue to develop over the coming weeks. Any tips or advice for optimizing this stage? Ernte ist ziemlich nah, werde die Ernte in 3 aufteilen, damit der mittlere und untere Part nachreifen kann… Da ich die RH nicht wirklich runter bekomme und kein Schimmel riskieren will werde ich mit hoher wahrscheinlich das obere Drittel morgen ernten und direkt zum Trocknen aufhängen… Time will tell

day 15 (december 19) start of week 3 roots everywhere plant starts to take of now, the hydro is slightly bigger then the soil plant day 17: the hydro plant made a new set of leaves in just 2 days! day 19: i cut off the lowest leaves of both plants. i do this because on any autoflower these leaves produce a stem that wastes a lot of energy on small nugs. day 20: hydro plant got topped (3nodes) day 21: soil plant got topped (3nodes) same strategy with the topping, i do this early (i could pinch them off with my fingers) to reduce the time to recover. the plants bounce back like they didnt feel it and with the lowest leaf and small tiny stems cut off, these plants will produce 6 main stems with nice big and dense buds instead of a huge christmass tree with more leaves than bud.

Just water and calmag, then I have them a KNF soil soak . Some light defoliation.

Another great week for these 2. Lots of new crystals forming on the left one. I lowered the nutrient schedule for one week as I didn't want to ignore those early signs on one of the plants. Truth be told, if I had made 2 different nutrient solutions I could have still given full strength to one of them. Nevertheless, they are looking great. The smell however is a bit of an issue. The situation with the autos was 100% under control, zero smell issues. Not the case with this one. I even installed a new air filter and it still smell a tiny bit. It really is a micro amount, but it's annoying. First time I've had to think about any smell with this IKEA setup. Also, so far these don't look much like the real Purple Lemonade. The autos became really dark quite rapidly, I'm not sure these will get as dark.

Day 43 - First day of week 7 today and she looks really good just not sure if she’s really starting to flower yet. I’m hoping this is just typical of the GC strain. Day 44 - No major changes, she’s growing and I’m loving the looks of her. Will continue uploading daily pictures. Day 45 - She’s looking really good and budding more and more each day. Gave her straight pH’d water today and tomorrow and will give her another feeding on Saturday. She’s drinking almost a gallon of water a day. Day 46 - Things are looking good with this girl. Bud sites are growing daily and this thing is a beauty. Gave her another feeding of just pH’d water and will “feed” her tomorrow. Day 47 - ALL is looking good and she’s looking purdy. Gave her a feeding with the foxfarm nutes today. Did a true measurement to the biggest branch and she’s at 25.5”. Will continue to measure each day to see how much she’s growing in a 24 hour period. Day 48 - Looking gorgeous and still stretching. Grew another two inches and is sitting at 27.5” right now. She’s really starting to fill in now and looking forward to the next few weeks. Day 49 - The way thing thing is growing, she’s gonna be a beast. Gave her straight pH’d water tonight and will give her a feeding tomorrow. Looks like she finally stopped stretching, sitting at 27.5” still so hopefully she’ll start putting on the weight.

At day 18 i topped her. I’m really curious how she’s handle the stress. In the next few days I will bend her down a little and installing a net to hold the plant small. We are ending week 3 shortly! She handled the topping very good. No signs of slowing down her grow or any deficiency. I did some LST after topping but one of the main branches snapped half through. She damaged side still performs exactly like the intact one. I try to be patient and careful with the bending of this branch. I taped the location and try to not bend it hardly anymore.

It worked! After 30 days away, I returned home to see if automating the first 30 days of this grow using the Blumat watering system and automated fan from AC Infinity worked. Day 36 - I defoliated quite a few large fan leaved and did some LST to expose some flowers to light.

She's done!!!!!! 😎 Will be chopped within 24h

I think I'm off to a good start. This is the roughest part of a grow for me so far. One thing that I learned from my past killings was to not get obsessive and that's the approach. I've got a way better understanding of feeding now. I was confused about feeding charts, thinking that it was mix and feed. Even though I checked the PH and PPM (incorrectly a few times) I'd consistently fry my plants to near death, bring them back with plain, proper ph'd water and then re-fry the next feeding. It hadn't dawned on me that the nutrient mix while being in the optimal PH range, mixed in right order and correct measurements, my PPM/EC was way too high for the stage of the plant. Yikes, I was feeding a toddler 3 double Whoppers with extra everything. And XL fries. You burn and learn I guess. The little girl was starting to look hungry so I took a shot and fed light nutrients with some hydrogen peroxide (will update the chart soon getting sleepy). I also punched a lot more holes in the bottom of the solo cup. Few hours later her leaves perked up like she was giving me a high five. Leaves are looking good too with a PPM of about 211. It's going to be a warmer weekend so I figure I'll crack another seed and put my 5 gallon pot to use. Possibly a photoperiod?

This week was fun, trimming my final product from my last grow was a pleasure, not a pain 🤓. It was very satisfying. Received my seeds early in the week and had to wait a few days to get everything cleaned and ready to go, again, didn’t seem like chores… I think I’m hooked! Started germinating Nov 13/am, tap roots poking out 24 hours later! I’ll wait till they are a bit larger to plant. I’ll be planting directly into 5 gallon fabric pots, no transplanting. **update** Germination- seeds were planted after 48 hours. 2 sprouted, 36 hours later, so Day 1 would technically be Wednesday,November 16th…One went down because of the fiend pictured…He’s been hanging out with me more and more in the grow spot, I’ve also been giving him leaves while I trim, when the plants are vegging… I had the tent open, and he came in a little hard to sniff and pulled one sprout right out, and before I realized what was happening, he swallowed it up with a quick lick of his nose… 🤦 Started two more Wednesday PM, both seeds popped, they were planted Friday PM, no sprouts yet… 😌 sigh…. in the meantime, I received my 5 gallon fabric pots, so we’re now running 3 AK-47 from Crop King Seeds, withe the upgraded pots 😊👍

Day 29 since I first saw her cotyies...2nd day of Week 5 and the little Dr. shows growth at what seems to be a quicker rate. I'll envisoning some colas from LST and perhaps I top one or two of those just to get more colas, whatever it takes to fill the damned net. Well of course these are just plans. Continue fertigation twice a day., inflow 1200 and run-off 1000 units of EC. Day 30 (10/10/2019) just fertigate her for the first time in the day, inflow and run-off are normal concentrations for the stage of growth. Day 31 One month and a day already... the plant has shown herself very stubborn, growing very slowy but healthy, I'll tame her eventually. Day 32 (12-10-2019) the little Dr seems to have kept up the growth pace, I see her growing remarkably more vigorously...👌 Fertigations, twice a day, getting 1200 uSm/cm in the run-off. Day 33 (13-10-2019) When I get an extra buck I'll change the extraction fan, Temperature is getting high inside the tent for this time of the year. 450 W (real power) from DIY led lights raise the temperature quite a few degrees in a 0.80x0.80x1.60 m tent. Day 34 last day of the 5th week. She's doing fine.
