1/24 Seeing balls I think :( - Welp - Confirmed they are balls, #2 has them also, not sure if LST caused to much stress or what. To much pride to just kill them all. I will continue this grow concealed in the 3x3. Honestly thought I was doing everything right. Going to leave them together, I got a auto water system to help keep tent closed more often. Doing this for the experience, will deep clean tent and all equipment after. I guess my goal now is to just finish her up, I'm 4 weeks through, going to try to use this bud for edibles, etc. This is for the people who had a hermie, wanted to continue growing it, but couldn't due to there conditions. Here ya go, this will be a fun run. If this isn't a good idea let me know LOL. 1/25 - (early morning) after a little researching and thinking, I think I'll just kill the hermies out. #2 had the same sacks. Going to keep a close eye on #3,#4, but so far they haven't sexed yet, ended up chopping #1, #2 for the better. Done buying cheap seeds, I have went through recommendations to find the best genetics and a more reputable breeder, very soon will start diary on that which I am very pumped for. With 2 of these out now, Planning on putting another strain in with them. I got a little unmotivated experiencing this, but figured rather fix it now then set my self back another 4 weeks. Hopefully we still have luck with #3, #4 will hope for the best! 1/30 - Since chopping #1, and #2 due to them becoming hermie, I definitely lost some motivation on this run. I still have been watering and adjusting canopy with trellis. They have definitely blown up since 1/25, and are giving me much more motivation moving forward. I gave them recharge today. I have started slight LST again but just bending the top cola so it won't grow higher then other colas. I have started another run with Brother Mendel Genetics, and will be starting another grow diary series on them. Look out for it. I really recommend this strain for indoors. Do some topping and lst and you will be more than fine. The plant can take a lot! Train her hard and you will be rewarded with full of pistils nugs!

Last week of veg nutrients

They are growing nicely, i forgot to upload for some time and now they are finally fully flowering, i pretty much fertilze them with everything.

Transplant was a success! Big girl has been moved to a 10 gal. Pot using the same soil mixture and within 2 days, despite me forgetting to use Mykos during transplant but remembering to mix in soil, she is happy as can be! The droopy leaves were certainly the indicator I needed to show she was ready. Her roots were even starting to grow through the bottom of the fabric pot but fortunately I caught it in time to be able to pull it off with relative ease

To the false scrog I added a grid. The pre-bloom stage. Good acceleration in growth. That's what I was talking about, super stretching out in the first few weeks of flowering. This plant is not for low boxes, and I have 160 cm, 80 of which is taken up by the pot and ventilation with lighting. I fed a little molasses to wake up the bacteria :) I continue to cut off the lower leaves and growth point ovaries little by little.

2/4: Photo session day! Both of these girls do seem to be mostly sativa, as billed. The have a very pungent aroma..not quite normal. I removed most of the lower fan leaves. I had a total infestation of Cattus (felis) which I documented in my photos. Eradication seems impossible, so I'm opting to allow a degree of predation, but hoping trichome production will, at least, deter them soon.😁 2/5: I fed everybody today with about 3/4 gallon each and sprayed them down with Axiom harpin proteins for the last time this run. I made a DIY CO2 generator today using a 5 gallon cat litter bucket, a small aquarium pump, some air line tubing, and a bubble stone, plus 6 cups of sugar and 30 grams of wine yeast in 2 gallons of warm water. I put the tube where the CO2 is exhausted up against the back of the oscillating fan that aims down over the plants so they are being constantly forcefully bombarded with high levels of CO2(1300+ppm) from above. I set the ac infinity controller to allow the temps to climb up to 89f before the fan turns on. 2/6: These girls aren't stretching much, but continue to spend energy on their lower branches. I bought some Gro-Pro pot risers to elevate the pots so that they will dry out faster..seem pretty effective. 2/7: I foliar fed with big bloom and tiger bloom today. 2/8: I ordered a second 6" AC Infinity fan to connect to my controller, some ducting, and a diffuser which I'll mount to the wall, down near the floor. The fan unit will be in another closet, adjacent to the garden closet, and I'll run ducting up through that closet ceiling into the attic, with a filter on the end to keep bugs and particulates out. For the next 6 weeks or so, it will provide a supply of colder fresh air. I did the math, and it will now only take about 1 minute and 40 seconds to completely exchange the air in the closet. Depending on the outside air temp at the time, it should take anywhere between 8 and 20 minutes for the closet to heat back up to 80f and the fans to kick back on again. This Spring, on days when it's warmer than 72f outside, I'll disconnect the duct in the closet and stretch it into that bedroom, clipped to the window unit air conditioner output, cranked down as low as it will go. This Summer, I'm gonna just run a pair of the quantum boards and grow 4 or 5 autos in there, but this should help keep the temps cooler in summer as well, without dedicating an air conditioner to the grow op.🙏 2/9: I foliar fed them with grow big, big bloom, and tiger bloom and checked moisture in their pots. They're due for a good watering tomorrow.

time lapse of last 4 weeks.

Haven't updated my grow diary for a little more than two weeks due to a severe back flare up. Yup, bad back strain, which has made it hard to sit, lay, stand for any duration of time. Suffice to say, much has happened since last update. Bucket change and upping nutrient (ppm) levels as I transitioned her to flower. And in that time, she received one defoliation in veg and a recent (and last) defoliation in flower. At this point, I just need to maintain healthy roots, consistent environment, and proper water levels with feedings. She's due another bucket change soon as ppm levels dropping and ph is adjusting upwards every reading. This is good sign from my understanding as a first time DWC grower. As far as feeding, lowered grow big (veg) and upped both tiger bloom and beastie blooms along with a splash of big bloom and cal/mag. Topping off buckets with about 1100+ ppm, which helps maintain ph in bucket at roughly 700-800 ppm. But it's getting harder to maintain those levels in flower, so that's why I believe a bucket change is in order. Here are photos spanning the entire 2-3 week period since last update.

She is coming along. Put under 12/12 five days ago. Should be able to start a little training this week. She is at the fourth node now and 4 inches tall. Hoping she flips soon as I want her to stay very short. Watering has been very frequent and small without giving her wet feet.

It was finally time to harvest her, what good times we had with her. Amazed with how beautiful this plant is, how easy to manage and train and how rewarding Orange Hill Special is. So we said our thanks and goodbye, thanked her for all the joy she gave while growing her. I realize more and more how I love growing them even more than the end-product. It takes my mind of all going on for a while, in my miniature jungle world in the attic. Im sure all of you just sometimes sit there and watch them, in wonder, dreaming away with a good buzz on, watching them wave in the wind of the fans. So with a heavy hart I apologize, play them their last music, sit with them and feel them and smell them, watch the glistening of the cristals. In the end we had 209 gram dried Orange Hill Special, I will know the total of the grow, in a few days, since the final big whopper still has to dry: my XtraKush, be sure to check the harvest of that one *in couple of days) and see a one-dollar seed outperform two 10 dollar seeds.
