Week 5 and here comes the fun part: let flower begin. These girls are hungrier than ever, like they'd grow forever if I let them. For a lot of you this might be "normal," but as a newbie I'm honestly blown away. I've never had plants this healthy and aggressive since I started growing. As expected, the tent has turned into a jungle. The only one still a bit "bullied" is the Runtz, she's been the shy one since day one, but she's catching up and finally found her rhythm. I'm slowly pushing VPD up and trying to sit around 1.1-1.2 kPa, and I added another fan under the canopy to keep airflow moving through this thick forest. Leaves keep expanding, calyxes are swelling, internodes are stacking, and they're clearly competing for light. First time in coco and I'll say it: this changed the way I look at growing. I've also been defoliating gradually to open up sites for the upcoming flowers. In one session I probably removed up to 15 leaves per plant, and they didn't even flinch. Still turgid, still pushing. I can't wait to see how this flowering run develops. Only downside is the limited space, I wasn't ready for this level of growth, especially after my past soil struggles. Me puse a chequear el diario y dos semanas les puse floracion y no lo era. Y por guiarme en eso, pense que estaba demorandose un poco la plantita... No estan tan grande los cogos, pero si super duros, cosa que me encanto. Tiene aroma a caramelo de naranja como lo dije en la otra semana. Ahora se nota mas y le siento cierto olor a gas, pero hermoso. Voy a darle unas 3 semanas o 4, a ver que tanto crece. Quiza el fin de semana vuelvo a regar con el producto, pero despues ya voy a usar solamente agua.

7/24/23 - Day 42 - Ok, so where to start? I'm going to go over the last couple days of issues/troubleshooting. We had an issue with the lights not coming on for a whole day/night cycle. That was a couple of days ago, and everything seems okay since then. I had some Canoeing/tacoing on the leaves once the lights were back on. I think I had the PH too low, 5.8. In flower, I should start moving it up the scale. Once I corrected the PH to 6.2, the canoeing/tacoing in the leaves seemed to be gone/almost gone. I'm REALLY worried about the height of the plant. She is only 12 in. from the light that I cannot move. I added a second scrogg net???? I don't know if that's done a lot, but I'm going to try and stop if from growing straight up. I think the best I can do is give it a lean. So Ill call this the ScoggGL (GangstaLean). You'll see some pictures up top as I start the ScoggGL I did the first big trim and pulled a 3-gallon bucket of fan leaves out. I cut off a few side branches I didn't want the plant to waste energy on. I trimmed so many leaves off it was crazy. The smells have been awesome! You all know the smell of the fresh plant stems and leaves as you trim and rub across them. It's one of my favorite smells, which is in full effect. I noticed that I have some pistils growing. I know what that means, shes going to have some flowers here in the next week. I couldn't be more excited!!!!! The roots are just downright ruthless; they have been growing out of control. I have a great picture of them in there with no water. I should note that I did two things that might have solved the Tacoing in the leaves. It could have been one or the other, but it also could be a combo of both things. I did the trimming to get some airflow between the leaves and changed the target for my PH from 5.8 to 6.2. When moving into flowering, I should have already done that. But I did both things while the leaves were Tacoing, and now they are not. I wanted to make sure I noted that. 7/26/23 - Day 44 - Things are looking great. No more tacoing, she's growing and still drinking about 2+ gallons a day of water. I hope the vertical growth stops soon, I want to remove a ton more fan leaves, and I'm hoping that it spends more time growing around than up, I'm keeping some leaves on just to slow some vertical growth. 7/27/23 - Day 45 - She's sleeping right now, but I will chop some more fan leaves when she wakes up. She's growing too tall, and I need to find a way to stop her. I think shocking her system will help stunt her growth. How crazy is this, what a conundrum I'm in. Normally I stress out trying to find the right time to trim to avoid stunting growth. I always keep my plants busy and do one or two chops. I think they need to grow as mother nature intended. Let them grow and do one, maybe two fan leave chops. That's always been my motto and its always worked out great for me. This is now the exact opposite. Feels weird even thinking about it, doing a leave chop two weeks into flower..... ARE YOU INSANE!!!!!! Lol The 2nd chop has happened. I took a ton of fan leaves off. It's time for the plant to slow down heal and start working on the buds! Let's see how this goes over the next couple of days. I added a timelapse of me chopping her up. 7/28/23 - Day 46 - After adding more water last night, I was checking PH, and I did a quick check on the ppm from the nutes. If it went from 600ppm down to 130ppm in a couple of days. So we decided to give her another dose of nutes so she has something to eat. I'll update you after she wakes up for the day. Hey everyone, Day 14 and things are going ok so far. I put all the plants in a pop up greenhouse so I could add some humidity. Hoping for some good growth this week as weather continues to be nice.

Week 8 day 3, preparing for flush for week 9 and chop week 10

This was a great strain for my first grow! The plant was forgiving of my several mistakes throughout the grow and just kept bouncing back. I had self-created problems with over watering, not enough nutrients toward the last few weeks (I started flushing and scaling back nitrogen too early, thinking I had a nitrogen issue). I'm waiting to review the smoke and high until after curing. I tested the THC and it's coming in at 17.5%-18%.

The run continues nicely, we still had some temperatures of nutritive solution a little high with the heat of Danielle. It drops drastically in 2 days so I will finally finish this growth in the calm one and will be able to begin my bloom on September 24th. I apply hydrogen peroxide at a rate of 0.5ML/L, twice a week as a treatment. The root Rot X is used every ten days when changing the nutritive solution. I put less water in my system, in order to create a wet zone and a dry zone, I make sure that the roots are always immersed of course. As soon as the temperature drops, I will switch to 800 ppfd for the end of growth and depending on the evolution of the plants I may add some sensi grow a and b to increase the ec a little. If you are attentive, you will observe on the tips of the leaves or even on the leaves, spots of burns or deficiencies, it is simply the consequence of the pythium a few days earlier. The last growth update will be around September 24/25.

Flip day 4: I have not diaries as flowering yet as they are not yet showing heads. I consider this transition period to be full veg and get a more accurate timing for flowering. once they show I will be flowering. All three have been responding well to their switch. Wedding Cake is a chunky and good sized girl now and after stretch should be my perfect grow size to room size. She will be a heavy budding girls by the look of her stems at this point. nodes are stacked closely so will stay sticky too. Black ghost. o.g has thankfully woke up a little more now she realises winter is coming and she needs some cock !!!. lol She has thickened intensely below the canopy and does have some very strong looking side branching fighting through too. Her leaves are very indica thick and dwarf her GG#4 neighbours. I can see her as a finished girl and i think she will surprise me with yield too. Gorilla Glue #4 is growing in expected and classic "skinny minney" style with her ebony looking branching and svelte appearance. She ain't fooling me as she is creeping up in size and height. The leaf colour is a little bit "veiny" but let's see how she stretches. I expect big things from this sneaky lady too. They are a credit to Original sensible seeds and so far a very responsive group. Be Safe and healthy

We’re deep into Week 8, and Blue Banana Cream is stacking up beautifully. Trichomes are looking frosty, covering the buds in a thick, sticky layer—definitely a strain that’s going to shine post-cure. The aroma has intensified compared to earlier weeks, now pushing out a stronger creamy, fruity scent with a slight gas undertone. Every time I open the tent, it hits harder. The buds are swelling up nicely, transitioning from airy to more mid-compact density. Pistils are still mostly white, meaning it’s got a bit more time before it fully ripens. One thing I’ve noticed—the branches are starting to lean from the weight, so some light support might be needed to prevent them from bending too much in the final stretch. I’m keeping temps at 18-20°C and humidity around 55-60% to ensure a proper finish. With harvest around the corner, it’s just about watching those trichomes shift from clear to cloudy/amber and letting this one reach its peak.

Mein Problemkind zeigt langsam erste anzeichen von Stretch. Riesige Fächerblätter... teilweise auch Interessante Muster vom Stickstoff überschuss zu sehen. Um den unteren Trieben für den Stretch nochmal die Chance zu geben, habe ich die großen Fächerblätter entfernt. Präventiv Neemöl gesprüht, weil ich ein paar Freunde gesehen habe. Spraymix alle 2 Tage. Heute wird auch die Lampe auf 12/12 umgestellt.

Week 3 Flower (Bloom Week 3) – Daily Tasks Evening (Lights On) Check environment (temp 24–27°C, RH 55–60%). Inspect leaves and buds for pests, mold, or deficiencies. Water/feed (depending on medium): balanced bloom nutrients with slightly higher P and K. Ensure good airflow (oscillating fans). Adjust plant training (light defoliation if leaves block bud sites). Check for early signs of stretch finishing. Evening (Before Lights Off) Ensure irrigation is not too late in the cycle to avoid wet medium during dark period. 👉 In Week 3 bloom, the plants are finishing their stretch and starting to put more energy into forming bud sites. Main job is: Setting Scrog net 2layers ,Control environment (VPD, airflow) ,Support the plant with bloom nutrients.

Well folks, this was a PPFD and CO2 controlled grow and I didn't use any bloom boosters like the Big Bud or Canna Boost etc.. Results are crazy. I managed to collect over 760 grams of dried and fine trimmed nugs. The flowering lights is the LEDWisdom Coral 600W IP67 water and dust proof grow lights. For the first two weeks, I used Rosa 400W and Rosette 200W grow lights from LEDWisdom. When Coral arrived, I changed the light setup so the total lights used is 600Watts. Anyway Coral grow lights have near 3.0 umols/J efficacy and makes your garden yield like crazy no matter what. I'm sure I would have collected more if I used a bloom booster but I wanted to show you guys that you can achieve great results with a great grow light even without flower boosters. You can check my other diaries growing with the Rosa 400W and Rosette 200W. These lights are also killing it and they have around 2.7 umol/J efficacy. Lights were drawing 590 Watts from the power outlet on the wall so I can say that the whole grow yielded more than 1.3 grams per Watt. These strains are not heavy yielders except the Chocolate Chunk but I only had one plant of this strain and she was the smallest plant in the tent. It didn't affect the total yield much. Pink Kush yields are pretty standart but the quality is exceptional. On the crossbreed strain, yield was slightly more than the Pink Kush plants and the yield from each strain is like below; -Chocolate Chunk: 80 grams -Pink Kush: 320 grams -Purple Punch x Pink Kush: 360 grams I made some COB's and also some kief and has with the trim. there wasn't much to trim in the end because I kept my plants in good shape. This was a joy to grow and now I have an amazing stash of high quality dried material stored in vacuum.
