Why you Should buffer your Coco. Lets get to reading! (Its Worth it for those that dont know about it) There are cation exchange sites in coco that will interfere with nutrition until they are buffered. The cation exchange sites in coco naturally come loaded with sodium (Na) and potassium (K) cations. However, the Na and the K are only weakly held to the exchange sites. In the presence of calcium (Ca) or magnesium (Mg), the sites will release their Na or K cations and lock onto the Ca or Mg. These processes are known as “cation exchanges”. Buffering coco is accomplished by soaking it in Ca and Mg. This allows the cation exchanges to take place prior to adding plants. Simply soak your coco in a solution of Cal/Mag water and the exchange sites will release their K and Na cations and lock onto the Ca and Mg. When the cation exchange sites bond with Ca and Mg rather than Na and K, it is “buffered”. The bonds that hold the Ca and Mg to the sites are very strong and cation exchange will largely stop. This means that all of the nutrients that you add to the water will be available to the plant at the ratios that you provide them. 2. Alot of growers Grow in Unbuffered coco coir and its a big mistake guys, I myself was a "victim"😬of unbuffered coco and it does cause alot of problems... now i am going to try and fix them! -----GROWING IN UNBUFFERED COCO--- Many growers are unaware of the need to buffer the coco and they try to grow plants in unbuffered coco. In unbuffered coco, the cation exchange sites will strip the nutrient solution of the Ca and Mg and replace those cations with Na and K. This creates a sub-optimal Nutrient Element Ratio (NER) and renders Ca and Mg unavailable to the plant. Failing to buffer the coco is why so many growers suffer calcium deficiencies in coco grows. Manufacturers of prepared coco products try to exploit these problems and convince growers that only their proprietary products are suitable for growing. However, it is actually very simple to properly buffer your coco yourself. This tutorial walks you through the process and provides all the information you need to turn even the cheapest brick of dehydrated coco into a superior growing medium. Day 43 of flower. I took some leaves out to bring in light to the lower canopy. But other then that everything is chugging along.

Flowering nicely now. Not drinking a ton of water but I attribute that to lower temps lately.

Whithe widow viene súper bien y florando con cambios día a día 😍 está semana defolie las 3 por última vez y agregue una segunda malla de scrog para evitar el error anterior de quebrarla queriendola entrenar! Day 51, 31st of October 2020: Hiya!... Time goes fast basically I went on holiday only for 6 days so my friend looked after them.... and miracle happens .... Ladies and Gentlemens ... They impressively grew 20 cm.... look at them explosion ... I had to do LST and gave them darkness one day and switch the lamp to 12/12 from today.... They want to flower .... The smell is getting stronger as well I bought extraction fan system with filter which is already in arrived today but not in use yet..... Everything seems to be good and everything will continue the same way well from next week pump a lot of nutrition they will need it ;) Cheers!

Pink kush has been flowering the quickest, she’s growing well and her new leaves don’t show any sign on the claw so good thing I backed off of that two weeks ago. Her preflowers are turning purple and sometimes it almost looks as if she’s bleeding pink blood. I’m giving her big bud already as she started flowering a solid week before the others. Only giving a little lst and defoliation lately. Canna cheese just keeps stretching, I can’t complain because I let her go. I just hope she won’t overgrow her space. She has a nice thick stem and drinks plenty. Only a little lst and defoliation lately. Alien berries so far is the smallest of the bunch, although she’s the slowest to flower, I gave her one more dose of grow nutes before committing to bloom nutes for her. She keeps stretching and gets awfully bushy. Some light Defoliation and little lst. Strawberry Skywalker has a nice fat stem for its size, she’s short but wide and is throwing out some insane preflowers. She gets very bushy so I defoliate and lst her. In the next few feeds I’ll add big bud to the rest of them.

After a comeback, the train is in the station! Even though I broke the main stem, she was an easy grow. I just basically let her do her with great results. Buds are thick and dense. Time for the drying and curing.

So far my confidence in this next go around is very high! 😃☀️ Putting the seeds straight into a jiffy pellet is the way I am going to proceed with germination going forward. You are just adding extra variables to what should be a simple equation (seed in sterile medium + warmth + moisture = seedling) unlike with the paper towel method, where you need to transfer them to the medium. But this is just one opinion of a rookie grower.

Clones got transplanted into my organic recycled soil in solo cups and under the dome. Under 300w LED QB dimmed at 50% Watering with tap water. My live soil is packed with nutrient's and minerals so there’s no need to add nutes for now.

we pass 6 weeks of flowers. buds are getting fulled and the smell is so so beautiful. she have stain on leavs, i think this si calcium def. Here on pics is day 34 of flowering. On feeding menu is again Iguana Juice Bloom, I spend all Mother earth. it is awesome nutrients. will buy it again.

Hype1 still needs a few more days although it is smelling really good, colas are beautiful and there are a few amber trichomes. Topping went perfectly fine :) SL is still growing very nice, no signs of flowering yet. WC is still drying in the tent. No snap yet. Don't worry keep growing ✌️

Great week. Plants are healthy lots of buds starting. Definitely time to dodefoliation , I've been doing the leaf tucking and minor leaf removal until now. Light and genetics working great thanks everyone.
