Well, today was the last day veging. I defoliated the lower 20%, switched on the red LEDs and set the timer to 12h. I activated the 2nd fan inside the box and also switched on the mini fan connected to the cooled hood. I'll leave it open until the stretch or the smell begins. As soon as there's any smell, I'll close the system by adding the glass shield. Also, I'll save the resulting temperature drop for the later weeks so... let's see... Nutrients added: about nothing. I read somewhere you should flush the plants before the switch so I just feed a normal quantity of water with only a bit of nutrients. It's around a 1/20th of the recommended dose maybe. Let the adventure begin!

Buds getting bigger. This strain is very greasy, a lot of resin. It smells very sweet, amazing.

week intel: everything is perfect! stresses : just a little E.C stress around 1.7 once a week feeding: i feed them 3 times this week with this order : day 1 : i feed them heavy with silicate +base nutrients(calcium & micros + Bloom) about 818 ppm - 1.7 e.c to cause a little stress. day 3 : i feed them low dose of Feeding Booster + Karbo Boost around 382 ppm - 0.7 e.c to let them recover a little but not fully recover still a little stress will caused. day 5 : i feed them with low dose of Top-Max + B-52 around 250 ppm - 0.5 e.c to let them recover the stresses to get ready for another stress next week. guide of the week : know your plant tolerance limit of E.C stress once you saw the very very little yellowing on tips of leaves , that's the sign to don't go further , never reach that limit if you want a high quality buds, in my case tolerance is 1.8 and i'll reach to that level only once a week to cause precision stress , love your plants and have a happy growing!

Well this grow went well up till the end where i managed to get spider mites yet again. Caught it early and at the end of the cycle so there was not a large impact. Now time to scrub the tent and everything in it with bleach.

This is going to be my very first grow. very excited :D As soil I'm using Biobizz light mix mixed with 20% Cocos Brickx from Plagron. No nutrients in this stage just water. Light schedule 18/6 Day 5 - 4 out of 5 seeds have sprouted. still have a little bit of hope for the last one. let's wait a little bit more. Day 6 - Seed # 5 I assume is dead. it was still completely intact decided to try a revive on it by putting it in paper towels (wet) but that didn't do it. the worst thing is that I had my time lapse camera on this seed 😭. The other lady's doing well growing at the same pace. let's do 1 more night before we hop on to the next week of this story. Happy days friends 😀

11-25 I had planted 2 Granddaddy purple seeds that had been soaking in water, one for 72 hours that had no taproot, and another that had been soaking in a glass of water for 24 hours that had a 1/2" taproot. I planted both in the same spot thinking the one with no taproot would not sprout. I was wrong they both sprouted which left me with 2 sprout growing within a cm of each other. Above is a video of me actually digging out the sprout and a pic of the plant 24 hours after transplant. Looks like she will survive as well as the other.

Hey still hanging in there ...lost a 200w led ...replaced it and lost the replacement due to loadshedding...i also had aphid infestation due to ants ...yea who knew ...but luckily i got rid of them using some dishwashing liquid (it desolves the oily protection layer on their skin) ...so i got my hopes back up...

Day 16: Some branches were tied down already. trying to get her to expand as much as possible. The previous training I did with a Dance World, ended up with a very bushy plant which did not allow a lot of light penetration. Day 18 : They were transplanted in a hempy bucket, I would like to play with it once more. I did not use layers only spike in the super soil. it follows the same recipes as the first transplant in week 2. Day 19 : They were both topped in order to keep 5 branches on each plant, I would like them to spread out as much as possible as they get so bushy. Trying to adjust from the first grow. Day 21 : They were tied down in order to start growing outwards instead of up.

Flowering Week 23: The Great Defoliation & Purple Hints Update: 17.08.2025 | Day 163 Hey Growmies, Week 23 was all about the snip-snip – gave both ladies a serious haircut and opened up them tight spaces. Airflow’s king now, and these girls are breathing easy. Here’s the wrap: Durban Poison – Cleaned & Gleaming After that defoliation, she’s standing tall like a proper little tree – clean stems, no clutter, just good light and air all through her core. The buds are frosting up with pistils that’s turning a soft, shy purple. Real pretty. Smell’s picking up too – still subtle, kinda old-school. Not like these new genetic gas-monsters. If I had to call it something? Flowery. Earthy-flowery. Simple. Honest. Blueberry – Tall, Late & Mysterious This girl’s still reaching – almost 2.20m now, though only three mains broke the 2m mark. Rest is hanging around 1.80m. Buds are forming slooow, pistils are shy. She’s blooming on her own damn schedule – way behind Durban. Started sexing at the same time, but now it’s like Durban’s sprinting and Blueberry’s strolling. Starting to sweat a little… if she’s too late, mold might sneak in when the autumn damp hits. 7 months after planting her from seed the day is finally here. A little earlier than I would of liked due to insects (crickets/grasshoppers eating buds) but she's thereabouts finished. Probably lost 1/3 of buds from the chewing insects but still a big yield and my drying room is full 😊 She survived two rainy season's and some serious wind from a tropical depression back in September. I have kept this grow completely organic so no pesticide or chemical fertilizers used. Apart from heavily amending the soil at the start I mostly fed her crabmeal once a month and seaweed and molasses in most waterings. A few of those waterings were diluted with my urine 😆👌 NPK right!? Why not.. then at the end I added a cultured pro biotic yogurt to the soil 2 days before I harvested. (Tip from a fellow grower @med_in_tropic - thanks bro) Not sure if it made any difference as I cannot compare with another plant but, the plant starting smelling like lemon furniture polish.. like a lemon scent with a fuel undertone. Almost menthol like 🤷‍♂️.. smells amazing. Me and my wife drank tea from the trimming and the citrusy flavour came though into the tea which was nice. Weather wise the temperature is down now to around 16c at night with RH around 50% so the buds should dry much slower than the last harvest so I should get a better flavour profile. Smoke report to follow after she has been in a jar for a week or so.. I did try a bud sample a few weeks back and the taste then was already pleasant so for sure this will be fire... 🔥 Thanks for all the kind comments, this was my first ever grow start to finish. I did some defoliation I plan on putting into flower next week maybe two more weeks still figuring that out I feel like my plants are a bit small definitely could use some nutrients

It's been 22 days now that my plants are in bloom I removed the scrog net because I realized that it slowed down the development of my plants can now see correctly the little buds form thank you in advance for advice that you can bring me 😉👍👌
