After this upcoming week of veg I'm switching to flower. Although I like the idea of having so many plants I am considering following through with my survival of the fittest and only keeping the plants I can tell are hungry and growing. I have noticed that some aren't growing as fast anymore and I have a lot of strains to plant after this.

Another week in Fat Yappa's Garden comes to an end with all the plants still doing well. The Bruce Banner which I snapped the stem just above the second node from the top is pretty much ready for the chop, the other two more mature plants are not too far behind, a week at most, and the Bruce Banner runt has pretty much caught up with her slightly older sisters. The Wedding Cheesecake growing in Canna Coco, which still towers above everything else in the tent at pretty much the same height as the lights, despite her tallest being bent over by LST has developed quite a lot of bud sites but not nearly as chunky as the Bruce Banners, and has started to fade with yellows and purples in the leaves and pistons. Her sister, growing in living soil is probably the furthest behind in the grow but seems to be developing a bit more like the Bruce Banners, and I put this down to the pot of the Coco Coir I used being round and much narrower than the other five, square Viviosun smart pots I used which was a bit of a fail for the LST, especially when combined with the rapid rate this plant took of at, where as I think the other was perhaps stunted a bit by being germinated in a coco coir pellet then placed in soil. I think I will try a peat pellet next time I grow in living soil and see if that improves it. The plants have remained on there same water schedule but I have noticed the more mature plants taking much less water. The most mature plant could probably go three days on 2.5l now, where as a week or two these plants had 2.5l daily over two days and then began to slow down again. I have kept the PH between 6.5 and 6.8 as I read its better for flowering to aim for the higher end of the range, especially when growing with dry amendments. Day 66 saw another compost tea, the same recipe as previously but this time I increased the bat guano from 1 to 2 tablespoons. Other than that I have continued to defoliate once a week, opening up light to the canopy and tried to open it up with a tightening of the LST ties. Stress in regard to the different stages of plant development increase as Harvest nears, as I was previously envisaging me drying in the tent and cutting the plants in a oner, but I have order a ThermPro TP50, and the rest is next weeks problem. Week 6 flower, half way there! Buds are starting to fill in now and getting some decent frost. A couple of tops are getting more light than others, and fattening a bit more and looking real nice. It looks like there is some purple starting to come out at the tops. She is strong and will go as fast as the soil and environmental conditions will allow her to. Hand watered in Gaia Green Soluble Seaweed Extract 0-0-17, otherwise water drip is running on same schedule. Just using straight tap water that sits in a 30 gallon reservoir with a submergible water pump running 24/7 breaking surface and aerating water. Water comes out the tap @ 7ph and less than 15ppm. I can't complain she hasn't skipped a beat since I took over only problem im seeing is very leggy and not vigorous branches but I have a strong feeling things will be different next week stay tuned my fellow plant janitors 👨‍🌾

I DID A PREVENTATIVE SPRAY OF BT THIS WEEK BUT I DON'T REMEMBER EXACTLY WHICH DAY. I THINK I MIXED AT 3 OR 4 TBSP GALLON WITH SOME DAWN. BONIDE BRAND THURACIDE. 8/30 Fed two gallons to the garden. Watered before and after the feed. Defoliated what was dead. Its scary seeing so many leaves go but energy is shifted to the buds. Buds are ripening but on one mislabeled mystery seed and the wedding cake they look far behind the rest. Wondering how they could possibly finish in the 6 to 8 weeks I have left. If needed I MAY be able to put something in the garage at night. I'd have to RIP the bag out of the ground though which wouldn't be good. I mean some of the plants are pushing ten feet but we use it for heavy equipment. So foggy this morning. Horrible weather. Still fighting PM, possible lockout and ear wigs. We will see how it goes. I'll continue weekly treatment for the pm and I'll find something for the earwigs. I'm hesitant to use the Spinosid in flower. 8/31 Rained last night. Surprise, surprise. Talked to a few other growers and consulted my last year's diary. I had a couple early pheno's last year but things seem on schedule. It's amazing the amount of growth that can happen in a day. Even my ice cream cake has small flowers. Time is running short. Probably six to eight weeks max growing time left. I hope everything finished up nicely. I need to continue monitoring PM and pests. Considering spraying preventative BT tonight. Yesterday I saw the biggest pile of powder mildew and leaf septoria on a tree an hour from my grow. It literally looked like snow flakes on leaves then someone dumped a bag of flour on it. This gives me some perspective and gratitude that the TINY spots I'm treating could be much worse. Weekly treatments until harvest. Hopefully BT or diy green cleaner tonight for earwigs and worms (if they are there). 9/1 Watered thoroughly. Leaves still yellowing. I hope it's senescence. Still need to continue treatments with BT and potassium bicarbonate. Sunny day but rain tonight. Need to add more supports for heavy branches. Will update as I go. 9/2 Rained all night and it's still raining. I'll update when the rain stops. Went back over and added a couple higher supports and defoliated a shit ton. Spent two hours in the garden last night. Too tired for pictures. 9/3 Fed two gallons to the garden and upped Kool bloom to a full tablespoon. I'm thinking about using beastie bloom then cha ching as I have them both. I'm a little hesitant. Wondering what others thoughts are on those products. I plan to spray either tonight or tomorrow with another helping of potassium bicarbonate to help with the WPM. To be honest it seems to work great. I just don't want to go overboard. I wish you guys could smell the pictures. Shits getting fun now. 9/4 Had a torrential rain storm with massive wind. No damage. Buds are getting huge. Had to add a few more supports this morning as branches were hanging. If I had room I'd do a second vertical trellis. Unfortunately I do not. I AM able to run string across the cage though which really helps things higher up. I need to put some pictures of my stalks. Legit bigger than soda cans. I wish you guys could smell my pictures. Re-checked all cameras and everything is working good. On high alert. I'd be very surprised if anyone even attempted to rob me but you never know. That's why it's 24/7 supervision until Croptober. 9/5 Lots of sun yesterday but if course it rained last night. Buds are progressing at a rapid rate. Leaves seem to be dropping to soon on the blueberries. I need to do another potassium bicarbonate treatment tonight. Branches are really getting heavy. I'm hoping all this rain doesn't cause bud rot but so far so good.

Overall I got 11.15 ounces of dried flower from these two plants, and amazing haul. I think that if I hadn't had to move the tent and mess with the structure I would have gotten even more.

Hi guys I hope your all doing good. So this week I am expecting some nice stretching and filling out. I topped them once today and will top again in 2 weeks. I have feed them there 1st dose of biobizz grow and some all a mic for beneficial bacteria. I'll keep you all updated as I progress. Happy growing 💚👌💪

She seems to be recovering well from the Calcium deficiency. No additional spotting and the heavy pruning was a good idea. I made some adjustments to the bucket design to minimize the heat from my UFO light.

Week 8 is finally here! We changed up the nutrient feeding to the week 8 on the feed chart. I am diluting everything at a 50-40% rate to keep EC within acceptable ranges of 0.8 - 1.1 EC. I started adding Terpinator to the mix and I do notice a significant smell increase vs. without it. I am going to keep using this as I think it is a great supplement. I did figure out that even though on the bottle and on the specific feed chart, it says it is a light formula that will have minimal impact on EC and will not burn your plants at the recommended rates - it will! First time mixing up my nutrients with terpinator, I had to dilute it because the EC was too high. I put the recommended amount in my mix, and checked EC and low and behold it was high. The next feeding I did a 50% dilution rate and that seemed to be ok if you are diluting your other inputs properly to compensate. ALWAYS make sure your EC and PH are in check prior to fertigating your plants. I am watching the trichomes on a daily basis and am looking to harvest sometime this week or next. I plan to dry it in the tent it is growing in as it has AC and good airflow. Once they are done drying, they will get trimmed up, lightly vacuum sealed and stored in the freezer. She's doing great despite losing a whole branch. I feel growth slowed down a bit but I may be just paranoid. Soon she'll start her stretch. I hope she is tolerant to heat because I can't keep temperature below 30C. Adjusted her LST several times this week and the branches are in final position. She would start stretching soon. She's showing some calcium issues and my last plant almost didn't make it, so I gave her a decent dose cal-mag.

-4/23/23 Start of Week --Week 5 -4/24/23 (day 37) --Observations: FIMed top recovering slowly --Comments: may top this plant because the recovery time on the FIM attempt is taking to much time. -4/25/23 (day 38) --Changes: topped main stem, also added some other plants to the pot (cilantro, lemon balm, lemon basil) --Comments: today I topped the main stem because I didn't like the way it was recovering from FIMing. decided to remove the top in a way that left one branch node and not the normal two, should give all the branches space to grow during flower. also gave this girl some friends so that she is not alone. -4/26/23 (day 39) --Observations: topped location healing good, underside branch doing good --Comments: recovering quickly from the topping. also I will be removing the underside branch before I flip to flower along with the lowest branch on the main stem, will be using them for clones. -4/29/23 (day 42) --Observations: almost fully recovered from the topping, getting a little clustered near the center --Comments: this experimental grow style is not working the way I thought that it would, but it is still doing really well. excited to see what this plant will look like when it starts flowering. I continue to spray with nutrients every day, will stop halfway through week one flower cycle and switch to spraying with Build-a-Soil's Build-a-Bloom until the end of week 4. also will switch watering nutrients at the end of week one flower. -4/29/23 End of Week
