25-2: Throughout the week, I'm observing two phenomena simultaneously: a portion of the upper leaves turning a lighter green and/or appearing to have a yellowish hue. One plant has curled leaves at the top of the plant but limited to one layer of leaves. The tips are yellowed with dark spots. Due to rapid growth, the plant flew too close to the sun and burned its wings, was my assessment. In other words, light burn. The leaves becoming lighter are located in several layers from the top to halfway down the plant. I suspect there is a deficiency and perform a slurry test. The EC is low at 0.24 and the pH is good at 6.3. The soil is still too wet to feed, which presents a dilemma: feed with the risk of wet feet or wait a bit longer with the risk that the deficiencies become more severe? To mitigate this, I gave foliar feeding (Terra Bloom 0.5 ml per liter) by spraying the leaves without really wetting them. I did this just after the lights were out. A day later, I first flushed the plants with a few liters of water pH 6.4 and then gave them nutrients with EC 1.3 and pH 6.4: Terra Bloom (+/- 4 ml per liter), Sugar Royal (1 ml per liter), and a tiny bit of Great White and orthosilicic acid. And hung the lights back at 30 cm. It seems to be working because I see the color coming back slightly and the yellowing has at least stopped. Furthermore, I'm keeping the day and night temperature a bit higher at about 25 degrees Celsius during the day and around 21 at night. This is to limit the humidity at night and during the day to increase the VPD to about 1.45. At the end of the week I see the end of the stretch and standing 87 cm tall at average. Week 1 of flowering. Increased ppm from 1050 to 1150 I do see some growth but not looking optimal. Temps seem to get pretty cold at night. No sign of flowering yet.

The first week of flowering is here, and things are finally looking much better! Both plants have recovered well and are now growing much healthier.🌱 #1 has already started stretching significantly, really picking up speed. It’s exciting to see how quickly it’s developing! Meanwhile. #2 spent about half the week still in vegetation, but towards the end, I finally spotted the first signs of flowering. Now that both are officially in bloom, I’m looking forward to seeing how they continue to develop over the next weeks. On to the next phase! 😊

Week 6 of flower - At the end of this week I defoliated down to mostly bud and sugar leaves for the final stretch. I fed them normal with no HP2. Feed this week was 1.25 gallons two times with about 4 days between. 750ppm total before add-ins. I used 750ppm Bloom concentrate mix (recipe week 5). However, I also added 1ml/gal of CaliMagic (General Hydroponics 1-0-0) to all feeds. PH balance this week was 6.3. Next week I will add the HP2 back again while reducing the nutes for flush.

Overall I enjoyed this grow and learned a lot about living soil. Going for a slow dry, trim, then at least a one month cure. Hopefully another six days and I’ll update with a dry yield. My next batch is already cooking but with 5 gallon pots. 03/25 - Day 7 Drying B & C are done drying and have been in jars for a day now with RH ~60%. Total 3oz from B & C. Total 1.5oz from A & D

So far nothing special, everything seems to be fine. She had some sunny days at the beginning, but weather got cloudy and relatively cold – this has slowed her growth for sure. But want her to adapt well to her conditions, so only put her inside in really cold nights. She got her endpoint directly on day 3, it's a 9L airpot. root was already at the bottom of the small starting pot. so maybe this stressed and slowed her too. Let's see how she will grow the next days. Video for this week will follow. Filming quality of my phone is not as good as would have liked it. But working on it.
